This guide will show players how they can obtain Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol in Starfield, one of the few weapons in the game that fans will only be able to get if they meet certain requirements.

How to Get Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol

Sir Livingstone was chair of Constellation 50 years prior to the game's events. His time on the job was somewhat controversial since many believe he bought his way to the top. Nevertheless, he was an important member of Constellation and led a very interesting life; curious players can learn more about him by finding and reading Sir Livingstone's journals - they'll certainly lead them to interesting expeditions.

Gamers can actually get Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol in Starfield, but they must have the Kid Stuff trait. To acquire the pistol, gamers must first join Constellation after finding the Artifact, then they should visit their parents in the Residential District to tell them all about it.

Dad will then talk about the news with dean of engineering during poker. The dean will offer to give away the pistol as he had framed it as a collectible a while back but had no actual use for it. They will clean and restore it, and Dad will be so proud that he'll visit the player the next time they go to The Lodge and give them the sidearm as a present.

Dad gives the player Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol in the same state as he left it, which means it still has the veteran's special mods. Here are Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol's stats when the piece is first handed to the player:

  • Physical damage: 28
  • Ammo: .45 Caliber
  • Magazine size: 15
  • Fire rate: 67
  • Range: 24
  • Accuracy: 69.2 percent
  • Mass: 1.80
  • Value: 7,612 credits

Once players receive the pistol, it will have the large magazine and the high velocity mods installed, but gamers can change this however they would like; the pistol can have up to four installed mods.

Gamers who don't intend to use this weapon can sell it if they'd like, as it's worth a decent amount of money, especially if they invest in the Commerce Skill. However, if they do this, they must be aware that they will not be able to find this weapon again.

Starfield is now available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
