Titanium is considered a rare material in Starfield. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s impossible to find, but it will definitely require some effort to collect. That’s because, unlike Iron which can be found in almost all the Planets, Titanium is only available in a selected few. As for its usage, Titanium is required in a couple of crafting recipes and the material is essential for building a structure in an Outpost.

Like any other resource in Starfield, there are a couple of methods players can follow to farm Titanium. Some are time-consuming and random whereas others are more dependable as they provide a constant source of the material.

Extracting Titanium

The Protagonists can place an Outpost in Starfield and build an Extractor to receive a decent amount of Titanium every once in a while. Do note that an Extractor requires power to function, so make sure to place a Power Source like a Solar Array, Wind Turbine, or Fueled Generator.

Additionally, the Extractor will occasionally get full and will stop collecting Titanium. As a result, players can build a storage and link it to the Extractor so that any extra materials will transfer to the storage. Keep in mind that all the mentioned Planets have Extreme Weather, which means building an Outpost won’t be available until players unlock the Planetary Habitation Skill.

As for where to place the Extractor, open the scanner and choose a spot that contains Titanium. To know if there’s Titanium underground or not, the scanner will reveal different colored spots on the ground, which indicates the presence of the material.

Buying Titanium From Merchants

Although Titanium is considered a rare resource in Starfield, players may come across some available for purchase while exploring the Systems. Three particular locations contain shops that provide a decent amount of Titanium which are Cydonia, New Atlantis, and Akila City. Moreover, it’s possible to come across a trading Ship that has some Titanium for sale. So, keep on the lookout while exploring the Galaxy.

Visiting a shop in Starfield and buying all available Titanium doesn’t necessarily mean the shop is now out of stock. Simply visit the merchant after some time and they will restock their resources and Credits.

Starfield is available now on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
