Starfield is now available for free with every purchase of an eligible AMD Ryzen 7000 or 5000 series processor as well as Radeon RX 7000 or RX 6000 series GPU. The bundle is live on all major online retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and Micro Center. The upcoming Bethesda game features new technologies that have been developed in partnership with AMD and the promotional bundle presents an interesting opportunity for those looking to upgrade their PC just in time for Starfield.

The promotional bundle was rumored ever since Newegg made live a microsite that listed a bunch of Ryzen 7000 series CPUs ranging from the Ryzen 5 7600 all the way up to the Ryzen 9 7950X. At the time, no details about the bundle were available, but it was expected to be announced soon, considering the timeline for the previous Star Wars Jedi: Survivor bundle.

AMD has now made the bundle official, and it includes not just the Ryzen 7000 SKUs, but also the Radeon RX 7000 and RX 6000 series GPUs. Some of the processors and graphics cards come with the Premium Edition of Starfield while others offer the Standard Edition. Check out the image below for the complete list.

Furthermore, the promotion also includes purchases of PC systems that are powered by select AMD CPUs and GPUs. What’s interesting is that while all the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs are included in this list, it also includes two Ryzen 5000 series CPUs – Ryzen 5 5700G and the Ryzen 5600G. After purchasing an eligible AMD CPU or GPU, a coupon code will be provided which can be redeemed to get a free copy of Starfield, whether it is the Premium or the Standard Edition.

To redeem a Starfield coupon code:

  1. Head to amdrewards.com/register and create an account/ log in.
  2. Enter the Coupon Code (referred to as a “Unique Coupon Code” on the website) along with other information in the web form to register the eligible AMD GPU or CPU.
  3. Next, a product verification tool will need to be downloaded to confirm that the right AMD product is installed in the PC.
  4. Once the verification is completed, the user will be redirected to sign up or log in for a Steam account. The Steam account must be linked to the AMDRewards account.
  5. The game will then show up in the Steam account from where it can be downloaded.

Starfield will release on September 6. For now, it is available for pre-purchase on Amazon at $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Digital Premium Edition.
