Echoes of the Past is the next Quest triggered upon completing Rook Meets King in Starfield. It’s a long and complicated Quest that takes place on a cold abandoned Planet. The complication comes from the length of the Quest and also the fact that the selected area is very large, which might confuse some players.
At the end of the Echoes of the Past Quest, the Protagonist won’t only receive the usual rewards like Credits and Gear in Starfield, but will also get to enjoy a new Spaceship as well as a Legendary Weapon.
How To Trigger Echoes Of The Past Quest In Starfield
Triggering Echoes of the Past Quest is done by completing the Rook Meets King Quest in Starfield. After that, players are sent with another Crimson Fleet rookie to get tested on another Planet.
For starters, head to Suvorov Planet in the Kryx System and land on The Lock to proceed. Listen to Delgado’s instructions and go inside The Lock to explore and secure the area.
If players get lost at any point, use the scanner to find the correct path by following the arrows.
How To Secure The Area In The Echoes Of The Past Quest
To secure the area in the Echoes of the Past Quest, players need to kill all the alien enemies in Starfield(Immature Grylloba).
Next, speak with Delgado who sends the Protagonist and Mathis to explore the nearby corridor. Sadly, the walls collapse, forcing both parties to separate which makes the latter suggest betraying the Crimson Fleet leader together since it’s the perfect opportunity. Whichever choices players make, it won’t affect the mission outcome.
Follow the Quest marker in Starfield to the Control Room and use the Intercom to speak with Delgado, who tells players how to search for clues on Jasper Kryx and open up a path for him. Interact with the Workstation and choose Security Controls, Override Lockdown.
Jasper Kryx Clue Location In the Echoes Of The Past Quest
Jasper Kryx's clue can be found inside his cell in Starfield. After unlocking the System, proceed to the D-Block of the Prison with Mathis then follow the Quest marker to the Guard Tower. The rookie will again suggest killing Delgado and players can choose any option as it doesn’t matter.
Once inside the Guard Tower, approach the Workstation in Starfield and read the D-Block 03 Prisoner List inside the Prisoner Records to find out Jasper Kryx’s cell number.
Next, open the D-Block Switch Control file and pick Unlock Section 03 Switch.
Players may also read the last file to open an optional cell D-02-106 and collect the weapons inside.
Follow the Quest marker to turn on the switch then enter Jasper’s cell. Interact with the lamp to the left to find Best Laid Plans which is an audio log that leads to the next clue.
Head to the lockers next to the showers and open the one in the middle to get Carter’s Gig (Evidence).
The evidence is a key item in the Burden of Proof Quest
After that, use the Maintenance Access Computer to open Kryx’s escape tunnel and from there, head to the Shuttle Bay. Use the Intercom to speak with Delgado and players can either tell him it was a team effort or that they worked alone. Mathis will, later on, admit that it’s for the best to forget about the “killing Delgado plan”.
How To Get The Keelhauler In Starfield
For the next step of the Echoes of the Past Quest, equip a strong weapon in Starfield as the Juvenile Grylloba Queen is waiting at the Shuttle Bay. Defeat the large enemy and her minions to board the spaceship and head back to The Key.
Upon, landing, players will be informed that the UC Prison Shuttle is their new Home Ship.
Go inside The Key and speak with Delgado to give him Jasper’s clue, and he rewards a Legendary Pistol in Starfield called the Keelhauler. To complete the Quest, speak with Mathis and Naeva at the Last Nova then head to General Kibwe Ikande to report the mission.
