Particularly, the cyberpunk-themed Neon is a quest-filled city, with a plethora of NPC's whom players can interact with or even simply walk past to gain a new quest. These quests have large amounts of credits, apparel, and even weapons up for grabs, so it's definitely worth checking out as many side quests as possible.

5 Bare Metal

Starfield Neon Bare Metal Quest

Players can access this quest by talking to Frank Renick at the Neon Tactical store, where he will be found talking to his best friend robot Styx, who seems to be vandalized and covered in graffiti. Frank talks about how Styx was attacked by someone named "Warlord" from the violent Disciples gang.

The player has the option of killing Warlord or convincing him to pay for Styx's repairs once the player has found him bragging to his crew in the Euphorika bar. Killing Warlord allows the player to gain a Disciple uniform, along with a hefty sum of credits on Warlord and his buddies' bodies. Frank, unfortunately, doesn't reward the player, however, it is rather wholesome to return after some time and see Styx with fresh repairs and a makeover.

4 The Audition

Starfield Neon The Audition Quest

A quest line that tests players' street knowledge, The Audition quest can be found in Madame Sauvage's Place after encountering Digger Zamin at the Ebbside entrance, who tells the player about the two rival gangs patrolling the Neon streets - the Ebbside Strikers and the Disciples. After speaking to Andrea Sandoval, the player will be a part of the Ebbside Strikers quest line, with the ultimate goal of being to eliminate the Disciples from the equation, unless the player plans on betrayal.

This quest in particular tasks the player to use stealth to steal a slate from the Disciples at Warehouse 02, preferably avoiding any bloodshed at the request of the Strikers' leader, Briggs. Whether the player kills anyone or not, the outcome will be 4300 credits and a very cool-looking Ebbside Strikers mask-wear outfit, allowing players to rep their gang on the mean Neon streets.

3 Back To The Grind

Starfield Neon Back To The Grind Quest

This Ryujin Industries faction quest can be initiated by accessing any of the Ryujin kiosks dotted around the various cities in the Starfield (2023) universe. Once the job application is filled out at one of these kiosks, players must travel to the Ryujin headquarters in Neon, where they will be given a brief interview by Imogene Salzo, who will remember the player's job application answers.

After getting the job, the player will be tasked to collect coffee for a meeting, in which the player will be confronted at TerraBrew by former employee, Tomo. Players can deal with this situation by calming Tomo down with words, knocking him out cold, or simply killing him. Once the coffee is collected after that encounter, the player will deliver the coffee, eventually leading to a 4000 credit reward and opening up many more Ryujin quests.

2 The Showdown

Starfield Neon The Showdown Quest

Another Ebbside Strikers quest, The Showdown is the ultimate end of the feud between the two rival gangs in Neon; Ebbside Strikers and The Disciples. In this quest, the player is tasked to take out The Disciples with the aim of wiping them from the map. The player will have to eliminate 3 groups of Disciples, with the final group of Disciples offering the player a chance to betray the Strikers.

If the player accepts this, they will be tasked to take out the leaders of the Ebbside Strikers, however they will earn fewer credits than if the player stays loyal to the Strikers. Additionally, by staying loyal to the Ebbside Strikers, the player will join up with the leaders for the final attack on the Disciples HQ. The player can buy armor from Newill's store as an optional task, so that the leaders are stronger for this fight, although this isn't noticeable. The player will then choose to go in alone or with the gang, ultimately ending with the Strikers disbanding and joining the UC Security, whilst the player is given 15,000 credits, a Street Sweeper pistol, and 6.5mm CT bullets.

1 Fishy Business

Starfield Neon Fishy Business Quest

To trigger this quest, players must do the Loose Ends mission involving Neshar, the man who gets arrested at the entrance of Neon. Fishy Business is the start of the player's involvement in working alongside Yannick Legarde, the Aurora trader located in Neon's core. He will task the player to work a shift at Xenofresh Seafood, working undercover to eventually meet up with his contact, Robie, in the break room.

Before the player meets Robie, they will have to talk to the seemingly agitated Valentina. The player must make sure that they are wearing the Xenofresh Clean Suit, which is the yellow hazmat suit that Yannick gifted them, to trigger the conversation. Valentina will explain how to make unprocessed Aurora, and after the short and simple tutorial, the player will have a time trial-like challenge. The player will have 3 attempts at making Aurora in the fastest time possible. If the player is fast enough and makes Aurora in under one minute, they will make 400 credits for each attempt. Once the 3 attempts are completed, the player will meet Robie in the break room, where she will tell the player to return to Yannick. After walking in on Yannick and the overlord of Neon Benjamin Bayu's conversation, Yannick will reward the player with a hefty sum of 6000 credits.

Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
