Stardew Valley is an interactive farming simulation game that beautifully captures the essence of farm life. It offers players the opportunity to engage in a multitude of activities and build their dream homestead. From planting crops and raising their own animals, players have the freedom to live life on their own terms.

Even though Stardew Valley is essentially a virtual farming haven, it introduces real-world aspects to its immersive gameplay. One such feature is the changing of seasons. Just like in real life, Stardew Valley features four seasons – Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. As the seasons change, they bring unique opportunities and challenges for the farmers.

How Long is Spring in Stardew Valley?

Spring is the first season players experience when they begin playing the game. It marks the start of the farmer’s journey with bountiful harvests and a burst of vibrant colors around town.

Similar to the other seasons in Stardew Valley, Spring lasts for 28 days. These 28 days are split into blocks of four weeks. Once a cycle of all four seasons is completed, the game advances to the next year, with the start of a new Spring.

When a season ends after 28 days, all crops will wither and die, unless they are compatible with the upcoming season.

Festivals

Springtime features two delightful festivals, where the entire community of Pelican Town gathers for special activities. The first, known as the Egg Festival, is a celebration held on Spring 13. During this event, the townsfolk gather at the town square for an exciting egg hunt, where players can join in the fun and compete to find the most eggs.

Another charming festival, known as the Flower Dance, takes place on Spring 24. Players have the opportunity to invite one of the town's Bachelors or Bachelorettes to be their dance partner during this event. These festivals break up the monotone routine of farm life and allow players to socialize with the villagers.
