Stardew Valley player MvvArtworks shared a look at their stunning redesigns of the game's iconic Lava Katana and Dwarf Sword weapons. While farming is one of the key game mechanics of Stardew Valley, the life-sim's gameplay also includes mining, combat, and more. Combat in Stardew Valley is necessary to survive The Mines, where players collect useful upgrade materials. Players often strive to obtain the best weapons in the game, which include the Lava Katana and Dwarf Sword. Inspired by the game's pixelated sprite graphics, MvvArtworks put their own artistic twist on the sword designs. Their version of the Lava Katana features a thin, curving blade, illuminated by forged lava, and contrasted by a blue and purple hilt. They then incorporated mechanical gears and copper into the Dwarf Sword to add a steampunk aesthetic to the powerful weapon.

Fellow Stardew lovers complimented the eye-catching esthetics of the redesigns, with one commenter asking if OP would make a full art series with other weapons from the game. Both the Lava Katana and Dwarf Sword are among the strongest items in the game, and both weapons can only be obtained by advancing through the main campaign. Once players reach Floor 120 of The Mines north of Pelican Town, they can enter the Adventurer's Guild and purchase the Lava Katana for 25,000 gold. The Dwarf Sword, on the other hand, can only be found as loot when searching through Dungeon Chests in the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island. With many fans enjoying multiple playthroughs of Stardew Valley, the community continues to create new artwork inspired by the game.
