The Largemouth Bass is a common fish in Stardew Valley but is featured in several quests and is moderately difficult to catch. The Largemouth Bass is also necessary for the Fish Tank in the Community Center, including the Stardew Valley Version 1.5 remixed bundles.

Fishing in Stardew Valley is essential to do early on to accrue money. In the first couple of seasons, money is more difficult to acquire by only selling crops, especially for new Stardew Valley players, but fishing can bring in large chunks of change to purchase more seeds with. However, the fishing mechanic in Stardew Valley has received mixed reviews since the game's launch. It's unique and for some players, simply too difficult to master, even after playing for tens of hours. Still, the Largemouth Bass is essential to finishing Stardew Valley's "main story," the Community Center.

Luckily, the Largemouth Bass is available during all seasons in Stardew Valley. It can be found up in the mountain lake by the mines from 6 AM to 7 PM, or at the player's farm if the player chose the Wilderness Farm at the start of the game. During Spring and Fall seasons, Largemouth Bass have a 20% chance of appearing and during the Summer and Winter, they have only a 15% chance of appearing. Players will have the most luck catching a Largemouth Bass if they cast the line farther from shore.

SV Fishing

Like many average fish, Largemouth Bass can be used in a wide variety of Stardew Valley cooking recipes such as the Maki Roll and Sashimi, as well as Crispy Bass. It won't sell for too much, though; without the Fisher or Angler professions, the Largemouth Bass will sell for less than 200 gold, but catching several can be beneficial in early gameplay hours. And like most fish, it can produce Roe in a farm pond, but its roe is also not very valuable with a selling price of only 80 gold.

Still, the Largemouth Bass is essential to completing the Community Center in Stardew Valley. In the vanilla game, it appears in the Lake Fish Bundle of the Fish Tank. Completing the Fish Tank removes the glittering boulder to the left of the mines near the mountain lake. With the 1.5 update, however, Stardew Valley introduced Remixed Bundles to add an extra challenge for veteran players.

If choosing the option to remix the Community Center Bundles, in addition to the Lake Fish Bundle, the Largemouth Bass will also appear in the Quality Fish Bundle, which requires a five-star version of it. This is similar to the vanilla game's Quality Crops Bundle, except each item only requires one five-star item instead of five.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
