When it comes to completing the Stardew Valley main story, there are two possible routes: the Community Center and the Joja Warehouse. At the start of the game, the player works for the Joja Corporation. They grow fed up with that way of life and decide they need a break, moving to their grandfather's farm to lead a more peaceful life.

Once in Pelican Town, the player can either help rebuild the Community Center by contributing all sorts of different items in order to complete various bundles, or they can purchase a JojaMart membership and a Joja Warehouse will be built in its place. Instead of bundles, the Joja Warehouse has a Community Development Form with various projects which the player can complete with gold instead of produce and goods. But, is it worth it?

JojaMart Membership

The JojaMart membership has its perks, and it's mandatory that players get it in order to start the Joja Warehouse run. Once the Community Center is unlocked, the player can purchase a JojaMart membership from Morris at the kiosk inside the JojaMart for 5,000g. Then, the Community Center will turn into a Joja Warehouse.

Owning a JojaMart membership also makes the store's prices as good as Pierre's. Additionally, since it doesn't close on Wednesday, it's possible to pick up some supplies when Pierre's is closed. Plus, the JojaMart is the best place to get Sunflower Seeds, especially if you own a membership.

Community Development Projects

Stardew Valley Joja Warehouse

There are several community development projects to complete, and they work just like Community Center bundles — a project is completed once the player hands in whatever is requested. However, to finish the Joja Community Development Form's projects, there are no specific items that the player needs to donate. It's all about the gold.

All projects require a large quantity of gold before they move forward. This gold can be donated at the JojaMart through the Joja Community Development Form. It might be helpful to look up some Stardew Valley money-making guides.

Here are all the projects available in the Joja Community Development Form and how much they cost:

Minecarts

Gaining access to the minecarts is an important step to making one's life easier in Stardew Valley. Sure, getting a horse makes it easier to get around, but the minecarts are essentially a form of fast traveling around the map. There's a minecart that will take the player to the mines, another that leads to the quarry, another minecart is near the bus stop, and the last one is in Pelican Town, next to the Blacksmith's shop.

The minecarts can be acquired via the Joja Community Development Form for a total of 15,000g. When taking the Community Center route, one needs to complete all Boiler Room Bundles to get access to this feature.

Panning

Panning is an ability that's unlocked once the glittering boulder next to the mines is removed. Willy then gives a copper pan to the player, which allows them to pan in bodies of water to retrieve ore, gems, and other precious items.

To remove the glittering boulder, a donation of 20,000g is required. Alternatively, with the Community Center, all of the Fish Tank Bundles need to be completed in order to unlock this ability.

Bridge

There's a broken bridge in the mountains that makes it impossible to reach the quarry. It can be repaired by Joja crew for the hefty price of 25,000g — or, in the case of the Community Center route, by completing the Craft Room bundles.

The minecart that takes the player to the Quarry will only be available once the bridge has been repaired and the area has been unlocked.

Greenhouse

The greenhouse is one of the most useful buildings in the game. Inside the greenhouse, the player can plant all sorts of crops and trees regardless of which season it is. They'll always grow, and there is no need for scarecrows, since it's indoors and crops won't be attacked.

To repair the greenhouse on the farm with a Joja membership, the player needs to donate 35,000g. It can also be moved after it's been fixed. In the Community Center route, the Pantry bundles need to be completed.

Bus

And lastly, the most expensive project: the bus. Fixing the bus is a huge part of the game because it unlocks tons and tons of content. It allows the player to visit the Calico Desert.

Weirdly, repairing the bus costs more if a player has chosen the Community Center route. Here, it'll cost 42,500g which is the money that needs to be donated to complete all Vault bundles. However, through the Joja Community Development Form it costs a total of 40,000g.

Rewards

getting reward joja route

The reward for completing all Joja Community Development Projects is a unique soda machine that cannot be bought or crafted. It'll produce one Joja Cola a day. It's not much, especially compared to the Community Center reward — the Stardew Hero Trophy — which, according to its description, is the most prestigious award a resident of Stardew Valley could receive.

There is also an achievement that can only be unlocked if the player completes the Joja Warehouse route, the Joja Co. Member of the Year achievement.

After completing all of this, it's possible to unlock the movie theater. This will cost another 500,000g on top of everything else.

Stardew Valley is available for Android, iOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S
