The blissful world of virtual farming in Stardew Valley is packed with tons of fun activities and exciting quests. As with any game, Quests are a measure of a player’s in-game progress. In Stardew Valley, quests primarily fall into two categories: Story quests and Help Wanted quests.
Story quests are usually received in the mail, except for a few that are automatically triggered in the early stages of the game. These quests do not have any time limits or expiration dates and can be completed whenever the player wants. Completing these quests rewards players with gold and Friendship Points.
“Jodi's Request” Story Quest
Jodi is an NPC in Stardew Valley. She is married to Kent, who is away serving in the military till Spring, Year 2. Jodi spends most of her time on housekeeping, taking care of her garden, and catching up with her best friend Caroline. She’s a quiet villager who always worries about her two kids, Sam and Vincent.
Players who have just started playing the game will wake up on the 19th day of Spring and find a letter from Jodi in their Mailbox. The letter informs players that Jodi has requested fresh Cauliflower for a recipe she’s making.
Players can keep track of their active quests by clicking on the exclamation mark (!) that appears under the date/time display.
How to Get Cauliflower in Stardew Valley
Cauliflower is a valuable, but slow-growing vegetable crop that can be grown in Spring. As Cauliflower takes 12 days to fully mature – by Spring 19th, players only have nine days left to fulfill Jodi’s request. In case players have not been actively planting Cauliflower, they would need to wait one whole year to complete this quest.
Cauliflower Seeds can be purchased at Pierre’s General Store for 80g or at JojaMart for 100g. This may be expensive for players who are just starting out, as they don’t have a steady source of income. Alternatively, players can plant Parsnips and harvest them for a good profit. This money can be used to buy Cauliflower Seeds. Players can also look for Mineral and hidden Artifacts around town. Donating five Artifacts to the Museum rewards players with nine Cauliflower seeds.
Upon harvesting the Cauliflower and giving it to Jodi, she rewards players with 350g. The friendship between her and the farmer will increase by 1 heart.
