Quests are an exciting and integral part of the farming game, Stardew Valley. They offer players a sense of purpose beyond the daily grind on the farm. Among the first quests players encounter when they start the game is the “Introductions Quest”.

Stardew Valley requires new players to introduce themselves around the Valley, as the residents are eager to meet the new farmer. To successfully complete this quest, players need to greet 28 villagers. On completing this quest, players are rewarded with 100 Friendship Points for every NPC they meet. These friendship points unlock unique Heart Events for every villager.

Greeting the Villagers

Plenty of NPCs, with unique backgrounds and storylines, can be found all around Stardew Valley. Players can greet any villager by simply clicking on them.

To greet shopkeepers, players need to stand next to them behind their counters.

Abigail	Abigail lives at the General Store in Pelican Town with her parents, Pierre and Caroline. She is usually at home till 1 pm.
Alex	Alex lives with his grandparents, George and Evelyn at 1 River Road in Pelican Town. Their house is next to the General Store.
Caroline	Caroline is Pierre’s wife and is usually found in the kitchen of the General Store. Some days she meets up with her best friend, Jodi at the town square.
Clint	Clint is Pelican Town’s Blacksmith. He can be found at his workshop all day long.
Demetrius	Demetrius lives with his wife Robin, daughter Maru, and stepson Sebastian at 24 Mountain Road in the Mountain. He can be found working all day in his home laboratory, studying the Valley’s wildlife.
Elliot	Elliot is a writer who lives alone in a cabin on The Beach. Elliot’s cabin is near Willy’s Fish Shop. Players can catch him at Stardrop Saloon every Friday and Sunday.
Emily	Emily lives with her sister Haley at 2 Willow Lane in Pelican Town. Players can find her working at The Stardrop Saloon most evenings.
Evelyn	Evelyn spends most of her days in the kitchen of her home at 1 River Road. She is George’s wife and Alex’s grandmother.
George	George lives with Evelyn and Alex at 1 River Road. Players can find him home all day, except on Sundays.
Gus	Gus owns The Stardrop Saloon. He lives and works there every day.
Haley	Haley lives with her sister Emily, but players can find her at the Fountain near the Community Centre from 11 am to 4 pm every day (except Mondays).
Harvey	Harvey runs the Medical Clinic in Pelican Town. Players can find him at the Clinic or the General Store on Fridays at noon.
Jas	Jas is a little girl who lives with her aunt, Marnie at Marnie’s Ranch in the Cindersap Forest. She is often at the Museum, where Penny tutors her and Vincent.
Jodi	Jodi lives at 1 Willow Lane with her sons, Sam and Vincent. She is at home most mornings.
Leah	Leah owns a small cottage in Cindersap Forest where she lives alone. Players can also find her at the General Store on Mondays at 11 am.
Lewis	Being the Mayor of Pelican Town, Lewis lives in the Mayor’s Manor. Players can find him at his house around 4:30 pm every day (except Fridays).
Linus	Linus lives in a Tent in The Mountain. He is usually home every day at 7 pm in Spring.
Marnie	Marnie owns a Ranch in the Cindersap Forest, where she lives with Jas and Shane. She is usually found at her shop every morning, except Mondays and Tuesdays.
Maru	Maru can be found with her father, Demetrius in the lab most days. She lives at 24 Mountain Road.
Pam	Players can find Pam in the Stardrop Saloon every evening. She lives in the Trailer in Pelican Town.
Penny	Penny is Pam’s daughter. She tutors the town’s kids at the Museum every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (9 am – 2 pm).
Pierre	Pierre’s runs and owns The General Store in Pelican Town. Players can always find him there.
Robin	Being the town’s carpenter, Robin is usually found at The Carpenter’s Shop from 9 am to 5 pm everyday, except Tuesdays. She lives at 24 Montain Road with her husband and kids.
Shane	Shane lives in a rented room at Marnie’s Ranch in Cindersap Forest. He can be found at the Stardrop Saloon every evening (except Sunday).
Sam	Sam lives at 1 Willow Lane in Pelican Town with his mom and brother. He can also be found working part-time at JojaMart on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Sebastian	Sebastian is a rebellious loner. He can be found inside the kitchen of Robin and Demetrius’ house between 03:00–03:30 pm. Sebastian can also be found at the Stardrop Saloon with Sam on Fridays.
Vincent	Vincent is Sam’s little brother and Jas’ best friend. He lives with his mother Jodi at 1 Willow Lane in Pelican Town.
Willy	Willy the fisherman lives on The Beach. Players cannot speak to Willy on Day 1, as he is on a fishing trip. From Day 2 onwards, he can be found at his Fish Shop where he sells bait and fishing supplies.
The Wizard	He lives in the Wizard’s Tower situated to the far west of Cindersap Forest. Players will be invited to The Wizard’s Tower for the first time on Spring 5+, as part of the Meet The Wizard Quest, to solve the Rat Problem in the Community Center.
