A Stardew Valley player has shown off their massive in-game collection of over 250 cats. The collection is just one more way of customizing a Stardew Valley playthrough experience, and doesn't require any mods.

Stardew Valley recently released the 1.6 update that adds a tremendous amount of content to the title. Players were excited about the notion of new festivals, conversations with villagers, and farm products that could be produced, but that's only a fraction of what was included in the update. Another feature, which was a necessity for this clowder of cats, is the ability to adopt more pets past the first cat or dog received from Marnie.

Stardew Valley Fans Think They've Found Evidence of Update 1.6 Cut Content

A Stardew Valley player is claiming they have uncovered a massive amount of cut content from the game's massive 1.6 update.

Stardew Valley player mcloafin69 shared a screenshot with the game's main subreddit, demonstrating what gathering over 250 cats into the player's farmhouse looks like. It's a scene that's making plenty of other players laugh, with dozens of cats lounging, sleeping, and bathing in every single room. Mcloafin69 notes that there's a ton of meowing created by this many cats, and they're not sure how it's going to impact their actual gameplay around the house and farm.

Other players are extremely amused at the group, with a few noticing some surprises in the crowd, like a single dog lurking in the image. Some suggested putting hats on every single cat, which was another feature added in Stardew Valley's 1.6 update. Another player thought the idea of this many cats in their home was fantastic and wants to do the same in their save file.

Getting to 250 Cats in Stardew Valley

Originally, Stardew Valley only allowed the player to have one pet, but the game's updates have taken restrictions off of this. Now, all the player needs to do is to follow a series of steps to get more than one pet. After Marnie drops off a cat or dog with the player, that pet must have its friendship level maxed out. After that, buying a Pet Bowl from Robin will lead to another message from Marnie, introducing pet licenses into the game. After that point, all the player needs to do is to buy the pet from Marnie. Cats cost 40,000g, so getting multiple pets in Stardew Valley isn't impractical, but this number certainly wasn't cheap for mcloafin69.

Stardew Valley has delighted players since its initial release for a wide number of reasons, as the cozy life sim lets players do whatever they like with no major restrictions. Having this many cats around may not be the most practical thing for the farmer, but it does create a hilarious experience that makes the game even more memorable.
