Once players have completed the Community Center Bundles or the Joja Warehouse, players can enter Willy’s Fish Shop on any day after Summer 1, Year 1 to trigger a cutscene where Willy has a chat with them.

During their chat, Willy mentions that even though he’s working so hard, business at the Fish Shop could be better and hints about his “old friend” in the back room. Some days later, Willy sends the player a letter inviting them to visit the back room of his Fish Shop. Inside the room, players find a dock with an old boat that needs to be repaired. Willy will tell the players how he doesn’t have the right materials to repair the boat.

To repair Willy’s boat the players need the following materials:

Once players have collected these items, an overnight cutscene is triggered where Willy and the local carpenter, Robin, work to restore the boat.

If there's another overnight cutscene scheduled for the same night, this particular cutscene will be postponed by a day.

Once Willy's Boat is repaired, it provides transportation between The Ginger Island and the player's location. Players can purchase a boat ticket in the back room after witnessing the boat repair cutscene, and it is priced at1,000 gold.

Players can enter the Fish Shop at 8 AM instead of 9 AM. Although Willy’s pilots the boat, his own schedule does not change. He is automatically available whenever players purchase a ticket to Ginger Island.

Players have a 20% chance to catch a Lifesaver while fishing inside the boat room.

Stardew Valley is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
