Stardew Valley’s Update 1.6 has brought lots of new features and quirky additions to the Valley, but the most surprising one so far is the ability to consume Mayonnaise. Developer ConcernedApe has now made it possible for players to chug down a whole jar of Mayonnaise if they wish to.
Previously, Mayonnaise was just used as an ingredient in Stardew Valley's cooking recipes and was a popular gift option for the townsfolk. How To Drink Mayonnaise In Stardew Valley
Even though it’s not meant to be consumed on its own, Mayonnaise is now officially a drinkable item in Stardew Valley. You can craft Mayonnaise from scratch by processing 1 Egg in a Mayonnaise Machine.
The Mayonnaise Machine is a piece of Artisan equipment that can be crafted using 15 pieces of Wood, 15 Stone, 1 Copper Bar , and 1 Earth Crystal.
Interestingly, you can use different varieties of eggs to prepare mayo in Stardew Valley, namely:
- Normal Egg (white or brown)
- Large Egg (white or brown)
- Golden Egg
- Ostrich Egg
Once you have your choice of egg, you simply need to place it inside the Mayonnaise Machine by clicking on the equipment. It takes approximately 3 hours for the machine to whip up one jar of Mayonnaise.
As you collect Mayonnaise from the Mayonnaise Machine, you’ll be prompted with the option to Drink Mayonnaise. Click on Yes and the farmer will chug down the entire jar of freshly prepared mayo.
When consumed, Mayonnaise replenishes the farmer’s energy and health, making it a convenient snack for when you’re deep within the mines.
At the time of writing, you can only drink freshly prepared Mayonnaise in Stardew Valley. Any mayo that you have prepared and stored before Update 1.6 can not be consumed.
Other Uses of Mayonnaise
Apart from drinking mayo straight from the jar, you can gift it to many villagers, sell it for quick profits or use it to prepare meals like Coleslaw and Fish Tacos.
