Stardew Valley is more than just a farming simulation game. It offers players a world of exciting possibilities – one of which is building long-lasting relationships with any of the 12 eligible NPCs in Pelican Town. Players who want an adventurous and free-spirited partner need to look no further than Abigail. With her striking purple hair and a deep love for video games and fighting monsters, Abigail is the ideal companion for those seeking excitement in their virtual marriage.

In Stardew Valley, Abigail is the daughter of Pierre and Caroline and lives in an apartment behind the General Store with her parents. She’s close friends with Sam and Sebastian, and also the drummer for their band.

Abigail’s Schedule

Each of the NPCs in Stardew Valley has a unique daily schedule, which they rarely deviate from. But Abigail moves around a lot, and it can be a bit hard for players to track her down. Her routine changes depending on the season.

Spring

In Spring, she is usually available in Pierre’s Store from 10:30 AM to 1 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On Spring 4, Abigail has her annual checkup and can be found at Harvey’s Clinic from 1:30 PM to 4 PM.

Fall

The routine is the same for Fall, except that on Mondays Abigail heads to the Beach at 11 AM.

Summer

In Summer, she is found standing by The Mountain Lake from 3 to 5:30 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Winter

In Winter, Abigail can be found in the Carpenter’s Shop on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Every Wednesday, regardless of the season, Abigail visits the Graveyard and stands by Mona’s Grave at 7 PM.

Abigail’s Favorite Gifts

Giving gifts is one of the best ways for players to increase their Friendship Points with the townsfolk. To win over Abigail, players need to talk to her every day and give her gifts twice a week. Giving her a gift on her birthday (Fall 13) has eight times the normal effect on friendship.

Things Abigail loves being gifted are:

  • All Universal Loves
  • Amethyst
  • Banana Pudding
  • Blackberry Cobbler
  • Chocolate Cake
  • Pufferfish
  • Pumpkin
  • Spicy Eel

Things Abigail likes being gifted are:

  • All Universal Likes except Vegetables
  • Quartz

Most of her loved gifts are cooked dishes that may be hard for players to obtain when they’re just starting out. Cooking requires a kitchen which is available after players upgrade the farmhouse for the first time. On the other hand, two of her favorite gifts are crystals – Amethyst and Quartz. Both of these minerals can easily be found in the Mines.

Abigail’s Heart Events

Stardew Valley Abigails Room

Like all NPCs in Stardew Valley, Abigail has her own Heart events. Abigail’s Heart Events are a bit harder to trigger as she is super active.

Two Hearts

Enter Pierre’s General Store on any day except Saturday, and go to Abigail’s room. She requests help to play a video game. Players do not gain or lose any Friendship points during this heart event.

Four Hearts

Visit the mountain on a rainy day between 12 PM and 7 PM, in any season except Winter. If players tell Abigail that they’re enjoying the weather, their Friendship is boosted by 50 points.

Six Hearts

Enter Pelican Town between 9 PM and 12 AM, on a day when it isn’t raining. Saying “Yes” when Abigail asks if the player has ever used a sword boosts Friendship by 10 points.

Eight Hearts

Abigail sends a letter inviting the player to visit her in her room. Enter Pierre’s General Store between 8 PM and 10 PM. Abigail excitedly shows the player her spirit board, indicating that she is starting to develop feelings for them. A romantic relationship with Abigail can begin once players have developed an eight-heart friendship with her. Presenting a flower Bouquet to Abigail boosts friendship by 25 points, indicates romantic interest, and changes her status to “Girlfriend” in the Social tab. The Bouquet can be purchased from Pierre’s General Store for 200g.

Ten Hearts

Enter the Mines or the Quarry Mine between 5 PM and 12 AM. Comforting Abigail when she’s scared of the bats increases friendship by 20–40 points. Then, she finally confesses her feelings for the player. After the Ten-Heart event, Abigail appears in the Mines on rainy days. She can be found on Level 20 either playing the flute or walking in place. If Abigail is not playing the flute, she will speak to the player.

Marrying Abigail

On reaching ten hearts with Abigail, it’s possible for the player to marry her. Mayor Lewis informs players through a letter that villagers in Stardew Valley can propose to their partners using a special necklace called The Mermaid’s Pendant. Players can purchase this from the Old Mariner on the beach for 5,000 gold. Since he only shows up on rainy days, players may need to use the Rain Totem in Winter.

The Old Mariner only sells players the pendant if they are eligible for marriage. Players are eligible if they have upgraded the farmhouse at least once and have ten hearts with their partner. After the Pendant is accepted, players will be engaged to Abigail and their wedding will be scheduled on the calendar three days after the proposal.

Stardew Valley is available now for Android, iOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
