How to Get a Pearl

There are a few ways to obtain Pearls in Stardew Valley, as listed below:

The Night Market Festival

Everything there is to know about the night market

Among the various boats that appear on the Beach during the Night Market is the Mermaid Boat. It is available from 5 PM to 12:30 AM and features a beautiful mermaid who sings to the player. Once the show is over, players have the opportunity to tap on the clamshells and replicate the previously played song. The shells are labeled 1 to 5, from left to right.

Tapping on them with the correct sequence rewards players with a special item. The correct sequence of musical notes is 1-5-4-2-3. One Pearl is awarded to players after successfully completing the challenge.

Players should be careful and make sure not to mistap the shells, as this will cancel the sequence.

Additionally, players have a 0.4% chance of catching Pearls by fishing in the Submarine ride at the Night Market.

Fish Ponds

Players can receive a Pearl from Willy after filling a Fish Pond with Crabs. A total of 10 Crabs must be gathered and placed in a Fish Pond to receive the Pearl. Crabs can be found in the Ocean by fishing with a Crab Pot. Additionally, Crabs can be obtained by defeating Rock Crabs and Lava Crabs in the Mines. Alternatively, a Fish Pond containing Blobfish has a 1.7-1.9% chance of producing a Peal when its population reaches 9 to 10 fish.

The Desert Trader

Another avenue to explore in the quest for a Pearl is a visit to the enigmatic Desert Trader. He is located in the Calico Desert and sells an extensive variety of goods. However, unlike the other merchants, the Desert Trader only barters for items he wishes to sell.

For 5 Omni Geodes, players can get an Artifact Trove that contains ancient relics and rare items. There is a 3.7% chance for a Pearl to be found inside an Artifact Trove.

Stardew Valley is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
