It has long been no secret for fans of Stardew Valley and Terraria that the developers are friends and often create mini-crossovers. Update 1.6 was no exception, introducing an Easter egg in the form of Meowmere to Stardew Valley's high-level content. This cute sword has long been familiar to Terraria fans as a Hardmode weapon capable of shooting funny cat heads. Now, Stardew Valley players can get their hands on it, too.

Although Meowmere doesn't have the same power as the more dangerous version in Terraria, getting this item will force you to get as close as possible to the required difficulty level. Players who have just started a new Stardew Valley save will have a hard time, but those who have already found the Ancient Doll are halfway to success.

Where To Find Meowmere In Stardew Valley

Cave in Stardew Valley

To find Meowmere in Stardew Valley, players must obtain a Far Away Stone and place it on top of the Terraria Pylon in the Wizard's basement. By completing these steps, you will get the weapon you want, but things are a little more complicated than they seem at first glance. Here are all the steps that will lead you to Meowmere:

  • The first thing you need to do is reach level 100 in Mines. It will probably take a lot of time, but you can't get Meowmere without a lava lake.
  • Having fulfilled the previous requirement, you should go on a treasure hunt. When digging up Artifact Spots, you should find an Ancient Doll. This item is quite rare, so you can only find it in the following places: The Mountain (3%), Bus Stop (2.4%), Cindersap Forest (2.4%), or Pelican Town (0.8%). If you prefer fishing, stock up on Magnet and catch as many Treasure Chests as possible. The chance of finding an Ancient Doll in these boxes is about 0.8%, so don't expect fast results.
  • After receiving the Ancient Doll, take it to level 100 of the Mines and throw it into the lava lake. Your offering will please the ancient Bone Serpent, who will thank you by giving you a Far Away Stone.
  • Go to Wizard's Tower and talk to him to go down to the basement.
  • Go to the back of the room and place a Far Away Stone on the Terraria pylon.
  • Fulfilling all the requirements will activate a cutscene in which a portal to the world of Terraria will open. A small cat will come out of the portal and give you the Meowmere sword. Afterward, the cat will turn around and leave, shutting the portal in the process.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Trout Derby mini-festival in Stardew Valley version 1.6.

It is probably one of the most labor-intensive weapons to acquire in Stardew Valley. Of course, it can't shoot Rainbow Cat Bullets, which is a little disappointing, but it deals 20 damage and has +4 Speed, which makes it a helpful tool when exploring dangerous locations.
