Despite their low selling price in Stardew Valley, Frozen Tears are one of the more useful gems found in the game. If you're trying to gift Sebastian with something he loves, or complete one of the Bundles in the Community Center, Frozen Tears are an important item to have in your inventory.

To find some Frozen Tears, you'll need to dive deep into the Mines and prepare yourself to take on some powerful enemies. There are many sources where you can obtain Frozen Tears as well, so you're bound to find some quickly if you know where to look. Here's how you can pick up some Frozen Tears.

Where to Get Frozen Tears in Stardew Valley

Frozen Tears can be found in a few different areas, and through a couple of methods outside of foraging. Here's where you can locate them:

  • Found through foraging in The Mines from Floors 40 to 79
  • Found in Frozen Geodes
  • Found in Omni Geodes
  • Dropped by Dust Sprite enemies
  • Found in Fishing Chests
  • Found through Panning
  • Found in Ice Pip Fish Pond
  • Found in the mail from the Wizard

The most fool-proof way of picking up some Frozen Tears is just by sticking to the Mines and foraging for them. They'll look similar to Frozen Geodes, but will be smaller and a lighter blue shade. They are sometimes in wooden containers in the Mines as well. Make sure to visit Floors 40 to 79 to find them, as they won't be found anywhere else. These floors are also where you'll spot some Dust Sprite enemies, which occasionally drop the gem.

If you stumble on some Frozen and Omni Geodes in the Mines as well, there's a small chance you'll receive a Frozen Tear when you break it open. The same thing goes for Panning and Fishing Chests. If you have a Fish Pond with Ice Pips inside, they will occasionally provide you with Frozen Tears whenever there are 9 Ice Pips in the pond.

Frozen Tears have a lot of different uses, alongside selling for a profit of up to 97g. If you have some in your inventory, here's what you can do with them:

  • Gift to Sebastian (Loved gift)
  • Used in the Geologist's Bundle in the Community Center Boiler Room
  • Used in the recipe for Warrior Ring (10x Iron Bar, 25x Coal, 10x Frozen Tear)
  • Used to tailor a Dark Jacket
  • Used to complete a few Help Wanted Board requests
  • Used to complete a few Fish Pond quests for Blobfish and Ice Pips

If you are looking to befriend Sebastian, Frozen Tears are one of his most loved gifts. They can also be used to complete the Geologist's Bundle in the Community Center if you are on this path instead of completing the JojaMart.

You can also craft a Warrior Ring using Frozen Tears, which can infuse you with 'Warrior Energy' anytime you defeat an enemy. It's a good idea to save a few Frozen Tears for occasional Help Wanted quests, and if you're looking to upgrade your Blobfish and Ice Pip Fish Ponds.
