On your way to 100%-ing Stardew Valley, you will need to unlock all achievements and trophies; here’s a comprehensive guide to help with that.

Before accessing this achievement’s challenge, you must complete the Mysterious Mr. Qi Quest .

How to Get the Danger in the Deep Achievement

Stardew Valley Danger Quest

To unlock the Danger in the Deep achievement, you must complete the titular Mr. Qi Quest. After getting 100 Golden Walnuts, Mr. Qi will start giving you Special Orders. One of these orders is called “Danger in the Deep” which grants the respective achievement upon completion.

The challenge involves reaching the bottom of the ‘Dangerous’ Minesin seven days. Once you accept the quest, everything (including the elevator system and Adventurer’s Guild items) is reset, and the enemies in the Mines are buffed. Despite this, you must traverse all 100 floors to get the achievement.

Upon reaching the final floor, you’ll have the opportunity to revert The Mines back to their original form and toggle back to the dangerous mode at your discretion. However, completing the challenge once is sufficient to earn the Danger in the Deep achievement/trophy.

The Danger in the Deep is among the toughest Mr. Qi challenges, yet it’s also highly rewarding, granting both an achievement and 40 Qi Gems. If you aim to descend to the bottom of the dangerous mines as quickly as possible, keep these tips in mind:

  • Use Staircases. Each Staircase allows you to skip one Mine level. With a stockpile of 100 Staircases, you can essentially breeze through the Danger in the Deep challenge in a matter of minutes.
  • Exploit defense buffs. It’s imperative to maximize your defense. The Dangerous Mines are filled with formidable enemies capable of insta-killing you. Strengthen your stats to withstand more damage.
  • Consume plenty of Gingers. Stock up on Ginger to counteract debuffs. The Mines are populated with powerful foes casting various spells that can be negated by consuming Gingers.
