How to Equip Boots in Stardew Valley

To access the farmer’s clothing items, players need to open the in-game Menu. The method varies depending on the platform they’re using.

  • PC Users: Simply hit the 'E' key or press 'Escape' to open the Menu.
  • Mobile Users: For mobile players, tap the three horizontal lines icon to access the Menu.

The farmer’s character and their equipped clothing items are displayed in the lower left corner of The Inventory in Stardew Valley. There are six slots around the character, each with icons representing a wearable item: hats, shirts, bottoms, footwear, and two rings.

To equip a new pair of boots, players can follow these steps:

  • Ensure that the footwear slot is empty. If the character is already wearing shoes, players will need to remove them from the slot. Simply drag the currently equipped footwear back to the inventory.
  • Next, select the desired footwear from the inventory.
  • Drag the selected footwear to the empty boots slot. This will equip the new boots on the character.
