Table of contents

Stardew Valley is a game about farming, but in addition to constantly planting new plants and watering them, the game has a lot of other content to offer. Players can explore caves to mine metal, defeat monsters, craft various tools, and even decorate their homes. One of the most interesting mechanics is the system of relationships between characters.

Fans can make friends with other NPCs and build relationships. When the relationship between the characters becomes very good, they can get married and even have children. But, just like in real life, there might come a time when fans want to break up in Stardew Valley with their beloved, for one reason or another. Therefore, in this guide, players will find information on how to do just that.

How to Break Up or Get Divorced

Stardew Valley How to Break Up (1)

Think carefully before doing so as this process will take a lot of time and money.

How to Break Up

If users have entered into a relationship and want to end it, they need to give their partner a wilted bouquet. It is similar to the way how players can begin a relationship, where they have to give a bouquet to their significant other. So, fans need to get a regular bouquet.

To do this, go to Pierre's Shop, which is open from 9:00 to 17:00. This is a general store where everyone can buy many different items. The bouquet price is 200 g. Then, go to the farm and put it in the furnace along with one piece of coal. After that, fans will get a wilted bouquet using which they can finish the relationships. Then, just go and give it to a character.

How to Get Divorced

If users are already married and want to get divorced, it will be a little more difficult and expensive. To do this, go to the Mayor’s Manor house and make a divorce there. But players should think carefully because it will cost 50,000 g, so they may need to farm some money.

If users suddenly change their minds and want to return to the marriage, they will have an opportunity to do so within 24 hours of the divorce. After the player gets divorced, the ex-partner will leave the house, and his or her room will disappear along with a special area on the farm. But, keep in mind that after the divorce, the relationship with the ex-partner will drop to zero. He or she will no longer accept gifts and will have strange behavior at different events. Also, the belongings of the ex-partner will disappear and be placed in a box.

Stardew Valley is available on Mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One.
