Stardew Valley is a game filled with complexity, random events, and hidden secrets, many of which are still being discovered by players. Some of these hidden surprises have more of an impact on gameplay, while others are story tidbits, extra lore, or just creepy little details waiting to be noticed. One Stardew Valley fan recently decided to recreate one animal gained through a random event, the Void Chicken, as a tiny sculpture.

Stardew Valley players can get Void Chickens through a few different avenues, but a gamer's first Void Chicken is usually acquired the same way. Acquiring a Big or Deluxe Coop that isn't full yet can lead to a random event where a witch flies over the coop in the night and leaves a black Void Egg there. Hatching the Void Egg will result in a Void Chicken that is black with red eyes and crest feathers.

Reddit user milk_eyedmender created a tiny Void Chicken out of clay and shared the image with other fans. This isn't the first time Stardew Valley players have brought an in-game item to life, but it may be one of the most detailed. The sculpture is about the size of the first knuckle on someone's finger, but it features lovingly sculpted crest feathers, eyes, and even a beak and feet. As if that weren't already enough, this little Void Chicken also has carved feathers and speckles to add texture across its body.

Void Chickens are only one of several different chicken variants that can be raised in Stardew Valley. Much like any other chicken, feeding a Void Chicken will result in a Void Egg that can be hatched, sold, or made into Void Mayonnaise. However, gamers interested in giving eggs as gifts may want to raise other types of chickens. Of the many characters that players can give gifts to, only the shadow person Krobus and the depressed Sebastian love Void Eggs. Everyone else either dislikes or outright hates them.

As of writing, it appears that other Stardew Valley fans are impressed by milk_eyedmender's work. Several users complimented them on making such a cute little sculpture. One user decided to make a reference to the text that appears when a Void Egg hatches in the game, which notes that the newly-hatched chick looks a little odd. A second user also referenced the game, but from a different angle, wondering where the small witch that had left the small Void Egg was.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
