Showing off the creative prowess anyone can possess when in Minecraft, a player was able to recreate a near-perfect model of Penny's sprite from Stardew Valley. The ever-popular sandbox game has given both kids and adults alike the ability to create wonderful structures and art pieces by just using the blocks available in Minecraft in an easy-to-understand way. Many like to recreate characters or objects from media they enjoy, which is what one player did, creating from inspiration a rather well-done replica of the teacher's sprite.

Stardew Valley is an indie farm-simulation game where the player takes control of a farm their grandfather owned. Among planting and taking care of crops, they'll also be able to mine, fish, decorate their farm, and even socialize with the people of the town nearby. One such person is a young woman named Penny, who took it upon herself to teach the only two kids in the entire town, all the while having to deal with her neglectful mother. Just like the player can with several other girls and guys in the game, Penny is a romanceable character, and well-beloved by many in the community.

One such person, a Reddit user by the name of TheCygnusLoop, decided to recreate Penny's appearance by trying to copy her sprite from Stardew Valley using the tools provided to them by Minecraft. While the number of items and blocks used is not known, the final result is quite beautiful, and amazing in how close it was able to get to the original sprite that is in the game. The picture they posted to r/Minecraft shows the model of Penny's sprite standing in a field, complete with the game's sparkle effect by her head and an added brown bag slung across her body.

Although not a perfect copy, the one created by TheCygnusLoop is quite close to the sprite seen in the game whenever Penny is standing around the village of Pelican Town, even down to the way her hair shines in the sun and where her pink blush is placed. Not only that, but it manages to capture the character's kind nature in the way she is posing, with her arms held in front of her body. It shows an incredible passion, not only for Penny, but the art style of Stardew Valley itself, a simplistic yet still charming 16-bit style.

This isn't the only time someone's attempted to recreate something in Minecraft, whether it be a character they like or even the Eiffel Tower itself. If one were to spend time on r/Minecraft, they are sure to find many of such projects created by passionate and persistent artists that play the sandbox game. With more creations like this, it helps bring gaming communities together to celebrate the games they love, like this piece of art did with Stardew Valley and Minecraft.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
