In Stardew Valley, Emerald is one of the six common gems, alongside Ruby, Aquamarine, Amethyst, Topaz, and Jade. Although not as scarce as Diamonds, it remains a challenging mineral to farm. This guide presents four quick methods to get Emeralds and eventually reproduce them on your farm.

In Stardew Valley, players can find various in-game items, including the "Fish Taco." Here's how to get a Fish Taco in the game.

How to Find Emerald

There are four methods for collecting Emeralds. You should either break Emerald Nodes in the Mines, pan for gems at waterways, investigate Fishing Treasure Chests, or loot Dwarvish Sentries in the Volcano Dungeon.

Mine Emerald Nodes in the Mines

To mine Emerald, break the nodes with green shards on them. Emerald Nodes become visible in the Mines starting from Floor 80 onward. However, you may also acquire this gem by mining Gem Nodes in earlier stages.

Loot the Dwarvish Sentry

Dwarvish Sentries drop Emerald 10% of the time. Find and defeat these enemies in the Volcano Dungeon for a chance to farm the green gem.

Pan in the Rivers and Ponds

Copper Pan collects Emeralds from water. You can put in the blocks of water that are shining for a chance to find common gems. (There is a 1.6% chance of panning Emerald from water.)

Collect Fishing Treasure Chests

Treasure Chests have a 4% chance of giving you an Emerald. To uncover these chests, engage in fishing across diverse waterways. When you observe a treasure box icon on the fishing gauge, apply the same technique used for regular fishing to extract the chest.

How to Farm Emerald

To create copies of Emerald, build a Crystalarium. The device duplicates the gems you insert into it within a few hours, the duration varying based on the rarity of the rock. Upon reaching Mining Level 9, collect 99 Stones, 5 Gold Bars, 2 Iridium Bars, and 1 Battery Pack to craft this machine and commence Emerald mass production.

How to Use Emerald

Emerald is not a pivotal component in any blueprints, but it serves various purposes. It can be employed in forging melee weapons to enhance their speed. Alternatively, you can sell the gem for 250 Gold (325 if you are a Gemologist). Moreover, it makes for a thoughtful gift, particularly for Clint, Dwarf, Emily, or Penny, as it happens to be one of their favorite items.

If you put an Emerald in the Sewing Machine, it gives you a green Shirt. You can also employ this gem as a green color in the dying process.
