There's plenty to explore on Stardew Valley's Ginger Island. From the pirate's lair to Leo's tree house, this location has plenty for players to discover. Perhaps the most fascinating sublocation, though, is the island's Volcano Dungeon.

Like the mines near Pelican Town and Skull Cavern in Calico Desert, the Volcano Dungeon is filled with both dangerous monsters and valuable items. One such item is the Dragon Tooth, whose in-game description claims that its enamel is pure iridium. These are highly valuable, selling for 500g; however, there's a lot that Stardew Valley players can do with them. Here's how to find these mysterious relics, and what to use them for

Where To Find Dragon Teeth

Dragon Teeth can be found on Ginger Island, within the Volcano Dungeon. The best places to look are in or around the large skeletal formations that can appear here, as seen in the image above. Presumably, these are dragon skeletons, and these great beasts left behind their teeth as well as their bones. In addition to finding them as pickup items on the ground, there is a 15% chance that a Dragon Tooth will drop when killing a Lava Lurk, the monsters that dwell in pools of lava and shoot flames at the player. Considering both these and other monsters, it's best to carry a weapon when venturing through this dungeon.

Players can also obtain Dragon Teeth by breeding Stingraysin a fish pond on their farm. Once the population of the pond reaches 9-10 Stingrays, there is a 5% daily chance that the pond will produce a Dragon Tooth in its chum bucket.

What Are Dragon Teeth Used For?

Dragon Teeth are a key component in one crafting recipe and one building, both of which transport the player to Ginger Island.

Firstly, players can purchase the crafting recipe for the Warp Totem: Island from the Volcano Dwarf for 10,000g. To craft it, they will need:

  • 1 Dragon Tooth
  • 1 Ginger
  • 5 Hardwood

Since Warp Totems are consumed on use, some players may wish for a more consistent way to get to Ginger Island — like the Wizard's Obelisks. To obtain the Island Obelisk, the player must travel to the Wizard's tower in the woods outside Pelican Town, and consult his magic book of buildings. In order to get him to build the obelisk, the player will need:

  • 10 Dragon Teeth
  • 10 Iridium Bar
  • 10 Bananas
  • 1,000,000g

Lastly, Dragon Teeth can also be used for trade. Once players have unlocked the Island Trader for 10 Golden Walnuts, the trader will sell the player a Banana Sapling in exchange for 5 Dragon Teeth.
