10 Complete The Easier Steps Early
Certain bundles, such as the seasonal foraging ones take little to no effort from the player and take very little time to complete. Getting the easier bundles out of the way can help focus on the more difficult and long-term goals, while also giving the player more items on their journey.
The Vault, for example, does not require any specific items, but only needs gold, which can be earned in various ways by players. While fully completing it may take some time, the individual bundles are easier to pay off while getting cakes, lightning rods, and more.
9 Choose The Bat Cave
After the player earns 25,000g, Demetrius will approach them and ask whether they would prefer bats or mushrooms in the cave on their farm. While mushrooms are not bad and can help fill out some of the Community Center bundles, the fruits that the bats can bring in can be quite rare and difficult to acquire otherwise.
The tree fruits can take quite a lot of money and time to harvest, but with a cave, it becomes a simple matter of checking on it once in a while.
8 Regularly Fish In Different Weathers
The Fish Tank bundles can be quite challenging for those who rarely fish, so doing regular fishing trips to the various locations can immensely help players out. Most fish have specific conditions for them to appear, such as season, location, weather, and even time.
A general tip is to try and fish in every locale at least a few times per season and in different weather. Certain, rarer fish, such as pufferfish, only appear during sunny summer days, from 12 PM to 4 PM.
7 Review Progress
Checking in on the Community Center, whether in person or from the items menu, can really help focus on the goals that need to be completed sooner, like growing a certain crop this season, or foraging a specific Secret Woods mushroom.
It only takes seconds, but can save in-game years of frustration and agony over that one little thing that could’ve been acquired on the previous day. It is also quite rewarding to see the gradual progress of the restoration and the happy little Junimos that greet players every time they come in.
6 Grow Every Crop
Once a new season hits, Pierre changes his stock to completely different seeds, and getting at least a handful of each is always great practice when working on the Community Center. The extra crops may also come in handy for certain missions or gifts.
Aside from that, players should try to grow as many high-quality “expensive” items as they can, for the “Quality Crops” Bundle, which requires at least 5 gold star melons, pumpkins, cauliflower, or corn. Fertilizers go a long way for this specific bundle.
5 Check The Traveling Cart
The Traveling Cart appears south of the farm on Fridays and Sundays and has a new random stock of items every time. It can sell anything from crops to seeds, food, fish, and more. Players can always see what items they still need, and see if it would be easier to purchase them from there.
On that note, the Traveling Cart can also sell great rare items, such as coffee beans or the Rare Seed. During the Night Market event, the cart appears for all three days, and it can be a great opportunity to roll for the needed items.
4 Regularly Check The Secret Woods
Many people skip out on Secret Woods or don’t visit them often enough, as they are quite out of the way. The hardwood is always worth harvesting, but when it comes to completing Community Center bundles, it is crucial to do more than a quick lumber run.
During Spring, players should look for the Morel mushroom, as it can be almost impossible to farm otherwise. Fishing there is also important, as players can catch the Secret Woods-exclusive Woodskip and a hard-to-find Catfish.
3 Keep At Least One Of Each Found Item
This is just generally a good practice, as one never knows what one might need in the future. A certain villager might order a summer fish during winter, someone whose birthday is in spring might really enjoy a fall crop and many more similar situations.
When it comes to Community Center, keeping at least a small stock of all found items can really help complete certain bundles and make life much easier in the future. Certain items might be used in recipes for crafting or cooking that specific bundle piece the players lack.
2 Upgrade The Barn And Coop
Getting the animal buildings, and their subsequent upgrades as early as possible can take the pressure off in terms of some very rare animal items, such as the rabbit foot. It can take quite a while for a rabbit to fully mature, and then to build a relationship with it, and then get the needed luck for it to drop.
Getting the buildings earlier allows the players to focus on getting other items while making a good profit from the animal items, and passively waiting for the rarer ones to drop.
1 Plan In Advance
While certain players enjoy making long and elaborate Excel spreadsheets, that is in no way a requirement. Taking mental or physical notes of what needs to be accomplished can take some pressure off players, and help focus on the tasks needed to complete the entire Community Center.
It doesn’t take long to see what needs to be done at the start of a season and work towards that goal, whatever it may be. And of course, players should enjoy their time playing the game, and do everything at their own pace. Stardew Valley is an excellent game to relax and unwind, and it should never feel too stressful or rushed.
