Stardew Valley offers players a wide variety of characters and animals to get to know over the in-game years. The game uses pixel art to bring Pelican Town and the whole of the valley to life, resulting in the game's memorable look. As a tribute to this art style, one player brought one of their favorite designs from Stardew Valley to life for their chicken coop.

Stardew Valley is a simulation role-playing game that lets players farm crops and even raise different animals on their farm. Players gain access to chickens in the game once they speak with Robin and have that character build a basic coop on their farm in Stardew Valley. Pixel art is a form of digital art created through software where images are built through the placement of pixels.

U/DapperDodoYT shares their impressive recreation of a white chicken from Stardew Valley in this post. Through three images, this Stardew Valley player displays the basic process they went through for creating this wooden tribute to a chicken. In the first image they share the original design for a white chicken alongside a wooden square that has been entirely covered in boxes to represent pixels.

The second image that u/DapperDodoYT shares shows this block has been cut into the chicken shape. The final image shows that this player managed to paint each square on the wooden template to match the original design. This perfect recreation of the white chicken from Stardew Valley now rests on their own chicken coop, surrounded by the real life animals.

Pixel art allows those looking to recreate the designs in Stardew Valley a straightforward process. By dividing the wooden square into different pixels, u/DapperDodoYT was able to work square by square to finish this painting. Noting this, it likely still took quite a bit of time to measure out the squares, match the colors of the original design, and cut out the shape.

There is a variety of animals in Stardew Valley that players can care for and use as a form of passive income for their farm. The way in which the game limits access to these animals until certain requirements are met (a coop must be made before chickens can be purchased) helps walk players through a playthrough at a good pace.

Then again, for those looking to make money as fast as possible in Stardew Valley, the earliest available animals may not provide enough money to meet their goals. Though chickens can be used for their eggs, these sell for significantly less than the truffles that pigs can discover when let outside. Either way, this player brought to life the pixel art chicken from Stardew Valley in an impressive way.

Stardew Valley is out now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Mobile, and Switch.
