Reaching the bottom of The Mines is a major achievement for players in Stardew Valley. While players may have to push through the rocky terrain and battle all kinds of monsters to find it, the Skull Key is a valuable item. To complete this quest, players need to head over to the Desert and unlock the Skull Cavern.

The Skull Cavern is a more dangerous version of the Mines and contains plenty of rare minerals, including the precious Iridium Ore. If that wasn’t enough, players can also use the Skull Key to unlock the Junimo Kart arcade game in The Stardrop Saloon.

A Winter Mystery is an intriguing quest available during Winter in the Valley. When players enter the Bus Stop during the designated hours, a cutscene will trigger in which players can see a “Shadow Person” wandering around on their own. As soon as the mysterious character spots the player, he starts running in the opposite direction and soon disappears.

To complete the Winter Mystery quest, all players have to do is find the shadowy figure. This can be done by following their footsteps and interacting with the bush near the Community Centre. As it turns out, the Shadow Person has stolen the Magnifying Glass, which is why he was running away. The Magnifying Glass is a handy tool that allows players to find and read hidden Secret Notes scattered throughout the Valley.

Stardew Valley's The Goblin Problem quest is not only amusing but is important for progressing on the farm. The first time players visit the Witch’s Hut, they’ll find that the entrance is blocked by a rather funny-looking creature, called the Henchman.

Figuring out how to get past the Henchman is the key objective of this quest. Apparently, Goblins can’t resist Void Mayonnaise. Players can quickly whip up a jar of this condiment through the Mayonnaise Machine by using 1 Void Egg. Once players have the Void Mayonnaise in hand, they can head back to the swamp and offer it to the Henchman.

Ginger Island is a late-game location that opens up a world of endless possibilities. Once there, players can meet a new NPC named Birdie, who offers them this exciting quest. Birdie asks players to find a keepsake of her late husband, who was a pirate. Completing The Pirate’s Wife quest isn’t that difficult, but requires serious dedication.

The quest begins once Birdie hands players the War Memento, starting a series of trades where players will have to exchange items with various NPCs. By the end of these trades, players will possess the Pirate’s Locket, which they can finally return to Birdie and get valuable rewards.

Rewards
  • One Friendship Heart with Mayor Lewis
  • 750 gold

Mayor’s Shorts is hands-down the most entertaining quest in Stardew Valley. It is the first of many adventures that involve Mayor Lewis and his questionable decisions. Finding the Mayor’s Lucky Purple Shorts is quite easy: all players need to do is reach four friendship hearts with Marnie and explore her bedroom.

Although Mayor Lewis requests that the player return his purple shorts to him “discreetly”, many farmers have taken advantage of his situation and had the time of their lives playing pranks on him. Apart from wearing the shorts themselves, players can put them on display during the Valley Fair or throw them into the potluck during the Luau Festival for a surprise.
