Ahsoka Tano was placed on trial by the Jedi Council after Ahsoka was framed for an explosion at the Jedi Temple. This event made Ahsoka lose faith in the Jedi, and she walked away from the Jedi Order, despite the personal pardon from the Jedi Council. To be expelled and doubted by the order she was most loyal to shook Ahsoka to her core, and she left the Jedi.

Through Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order, she forged herself a new path away from the Jedi, but in doing so, abandoned her master, Anakin Skywalker, who would fester in his doubts as a teacher and a friend to Ahsoka.

When the Galactic Empire took over as the tyrants of the galaxy, Ahsoka knew that she would not be able to avoid the war forever. She decided to join the rebel alliance in secrecy, knowing that her identity would make her a target for being a former Jedi. Ahsoka adopted the codename “Fulcrum” to begin her work as a rebel spy.

Through Ahsoka’s Fulcrum network, she was able to create a new band of rebels across the galaxy, with plenty of useful information and missions through the aid of Bail Organa. Ahsoka was an important rebel who worked with the likes of Mon Mothma and the Ghost crew.

On the orders of Grandmaster Yoda, Ahsoka Tano was assigned to the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker at the age of fourteen, right at the start of the Clone Wars. Anakin was hesitant and outright refused of having an apprentice, but Ahsoka and Anakin quickly grew a friendship in which they shared in reckless behavior. The two shared a great bond, and Ahsoka learned a great deal from Anakin Skywalker and the trusty droid sidekick of R2-D2.

Anakin was a great teacher to Ahsoka, even if at times his teachings were not completely in line with the ways of the Jedi. However, thanks to Anakin’s training, Ahsoka was able to survive Order 66, as Anakin had a vigorous training exercise on how to survive an attack from clone troopers; ominous foreshadowing indeed.

6 Present For Padme’s Funeral

After the events of Order 66, Ahsoka knew that her first step to figuring out what had happened was to locate Padme Amidala, whom she knew closely. Upon arriving on Theed, Ahsoka hid her identity with a cloak and hood and was there to witness the funeral for Padme, another great loss for the Grand Republic, and for Ahsoka, who had lost a friend.

Ahsoka cements herself through Star Wars canon by being present during Padme’s funeral, an iconic scene in Star Wars that shows the true passing of democracy in favor of Palpatine’s rule as the Emperor. With Padme’s death, Ahsoka knew that Anakin was gone.

5 Fought Darth Vader

Darth-Vader-vs-Ahsoka

In one of the most emotional scenes in Star Wars Rebels, a former apprentice confronts a former master, and Ahsoka Tano duels with Darth Vader. This battle saw a clash of lightsabers from Ahsoka and the former Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Vader was a hunter of surviving Jedi, and at the top of his list would always be his former padawan, one of the only people who kept Anakin’s good memory alive.

Their fight ended after Ahsoka slashed at his mask, revealing Anakin Skywalker underneath. Struck by grief and terror, Ahsoka stayed behind in refused to leave Anakin. Yet, it was too late, as Vader was all that remains, and Ahsoka’s fate was left unknown for a long time.

The Jedi Purge was horrific for thousands and Ahsoka Tano was another victim caused by the revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka was on a mission to bring back Maul as a prisoner to stand trial in the Jedi Council for his crimes. However, a disturbance in the Force was heard, and Order 66 would ravish the galaxy, with the allied clone troopers turning on their Jedi friends and leaders.

Ahsoka refused to kill her clone friends, and instead tried to find a way off of her ship to escape Order 66, but not without Rex. The finale of The Clone Wars saw Ahsoka and Rex leave as outcasts and survivors, with Ahsoka Tano leaving behind her lightsabers to fake her death to any that would try to hunt her.

3 The World Between Worlds

In Ahsoka and Vader’s climactic duel, Ahsoka was sure to fall under the crimson blade of the Sith Lord, until a hand reached out from a portal to save her. Ahsoka Tano would have died if not for the World Between Worlds, a mysterious location that binds the Force to Space-Time, and allowed Ezra Bridger to reach back into the past and pull Ahsoka into the future, one where she can live.

The World Between Worlds is an extremely important location in Star Wars canon that could alter what audiences know about the franchise. Time travel is always messy, but perhaps Ahsoka will find a use for it, or, dedicate herself to its protection.

2 Her Quest To Find Ezra Bridger

After being saved by Ezra Bridger and knowing what he must do to turn the tides of the war against Thrawn and the Empire, Ahsoka Tano promises that when it is over, she will find him and bring him home. Ahsoka’s mission is sure to come through in the Disney Plus series, and Ahsoka will make good on her promise to find Ezra Bridger.

This quest began at the end of Star Wars Rebels in which Ezra and Thrawn were transported through hyperspace by the purrgil. Her journey must take her to the Unknown Regions of the galaxy far, far away in the hopes of finding Ezra Bridger, and perhaps Thrawn himself.

1 Lightsabers Of Ahsoka

Ahsoka’s style of lightsaber consists of two blades, one as a normal saber, and the other as a shoto, which is shorter than a usual lightsaber. Her style is distinct from other Jedi and lightsaber wielders, but it makes her a dangerous combatant nonetheless. However, fans might be more interested in her white blades, which have a story on their own.

Ahsoka’s lightsabers are white, a color that has rarely been seen in Star Wars media for lightsabers. This is due to her battle with the Sixth Brother, a Sith Inquisitor with red lightsabers. Ahsoka took the Kyber crystal from his defeat and healed them to make them pure white, cleansing them of the Dark Side's presence that they have.

Ahsoka will premier on Disney+ August 2023.
