Since Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge released in November 2020, fans have been curious when ILMxLAB would drop the game's next chapter. They finally got their answer during the first Oculus Gaming Showcase about when they can return to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. Not only that, Oculus confirmed one of the Star Wars galaxy's most famous antiquity dealers would be making his debut.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is set years after Return of the Jedi on the planet Batuu. Players take the role of a smuggler who is left stranded on Batuu after their ship is attacked and must find a way off the planet while avoiding gangs trying to collect a bounty on the player's head. Along the way, players meet C-3PO, R2-D2, and Jedi Master Yoda as they explore the planet.

Oculus confirmed part 2 of Tales from the Galaxy's Edge will introduce Dok-Ondar, an antiquities dealer first introduced in Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park. Oculus did not say what role he would play in part 2 of the VR game.

Ondar's shop, the Den of Antiquities, is one of the many locales park visitors can stop in when at Galaxy's Edge. It's here they can get their hands on the many goods the antiquities dealer has to sell, including an impressive collection of lightsabers.

Ondar was soon introduced into the main Star Wars' mythos as Lucasfilm expanded his place in the galaxy across comics, books, and games. He's crossed paths with many famous characters including Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, Hondo Ohnaka, and Doctor Aphra during his time collecting and trading in the Star Wars universe's black market.

Part 2 of Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge is currently in development for the Oculus Quest and no release date has been confirmed.
