Star Wars is a massively successful multimedia franchise by every definition, and one fan online has stumbled across a hilarious treat for Star Wars enjoyers on a platform that not many would expect to hold any surprises.

Star Wars might have started off without links to any well-known IPs, despite George Lucas initially wanting to make a film featuring the Flash Gordon character similar to Taika Waititi more recently, but it has since grown even larger than the latter. While many parts of the film were groundbreaking and novel to fans, one part of the franchise that hooked moviegoers right from the start (literally) was the phenomenal soundtrack supplied by legendary industry figure John Williams.

Based on what can be inferred so far, The Outer Worlds 2's number and design for its planets may highly resemble Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's.

The soundtrack still plays an important part in the franchise to this day, with the music being the first choice for setting the tone for newer projects like Star Wars: Andor. However, nothing beats the iconic Star Wars theme that greets fans at the start of the theatrical releases, and one fan online discovered something delightful on a recent revisiting of the Star Wars theme. Reddit user Kingerdvm took to the site’s r/StarWars subreddit to inform other fans that the music streaming platform Apple Music had actually attached lyrics to its Star Wars theme upload with a screenshot of the lyrics to back it up. This is hilarious because the track has absolutely no lyrics, a fact that’s pretty much universally known. Instead, the lyrics seem to be entirely composed of groups of “duh” onomatopeia arranged to create a sort of humming approximation of the title track.

The post absolutely delivers on a laugh, with one comment confirming that the “lyrics” put forth by Apple Music do indeed seem to be accurate. This little bit of fun on the part of Apple Music is quite a great find for fans and is a feature that is noticeably missing from competitor Spotify’s version of the iconic soundtrack. While fans will probably be able to figure things out by ear, it’s worth asking who at Apple Music had such a brilliant idea for the subtitling. Considering just how much it’s done for the franchise and fan enjoyment, it’s crazy to think that Star Wars almost didn’t feature William’s iconic music and more so that fans have Steven Spielberg to thank for saving the day.

All in all, it’s great that fans can appreciate the work that went into producing that iconic soundtrack, a feat that Andor Music Composer Nicholas Britell Still considers challenging in the current era of Star Wars. Now, the community can sit back and wait for more hilarious effects of the franchise’s worldwide acclaim and appeal.

The Star Wars franchise is available to stream on Disney+.
