Ubisoft is joining forces with Intel to promote both the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws and the latest line of Intel Core processors. Star Wars Outaws will take players into the seedy criminal underbelly of the Galaxy Far, Far Away in an open-world adventure from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora developer Massive Entertainment. As aspiring smuggler Kay Vess, fans will be able to explore multiple Star Wars planets and complete tasks for infamous gangs like the Crimson Dawn and the Hutt family, all while avoiding the forces of the Galactic Empire at the height of its tyranny.

Even more information about Star Wars Outlaws was recently unveiled in a new story trailer earlier this week, which provided more details about Kay’s predicament and how she strikes up an uneasy alliance with the mysterious Jaylen to help get the up-and-coming Zerek Besh organization off her back following an incident with its leader Sliro. The official release date for Star Wars Outlaws was revealed to be August 30, and fans who pre-order the game will have access to a variety of bonus cosmetics and might even be able to play it three days ahead of time.

The Intel Core i5-13600KF is a budget-friendly yet fairly capable CPU for gaming. It can deliver decent performance in most modern games at even 1440p resolution, depending on the settings and the GPU. It features 14 cores and 20 threads with boost clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz out of the box. The 'F' in the name means there is no iGPU which helps keep the cost down.

The Intel Core i9 14900KS 24-core, 32-thread CPU is Intel's special edition CPU take on its flagship 14th generation CPU, the Core i9 14900K.

It is essentially a cherry-picked 14900K SKU that can push higher clocks with up to a minimum of 6.2 GHz on its P-Cores, making it effectively the highest-clocked CPU out of the box to date when it comes to boost clocks from Intel.

It trades at a significant premium as a result and is expected, as a limited-run chip, to be a collectible SKU with high demand from enthusiasts and overclockers in 2024.

The Intel Core i7 14700K 20-Core, 28-Thread CPU succeeds the Intel Core i7 13700K CPU with a 200 MHz boost clock increase as Intel also throws in an additional 4 efficiency cores to make it increasingly better value for money versus its predecessor.

With 28 threads on offer and higher boost clocks, the Intel Core i7 14700K is noticeably faster in both games and productivity benchmarks alike while replacing its predecessor at the same price points.

Intel's 14th-generation CPUs have garnered a mixed reception from tech-focused PC gamers, as many see them to be not much different from the company’s previous processors. However, certain models like the Intel i7 14700K have been noted to have improvements like higher clock speeds on performance and efficiency cores and AI overclocking profiles, and Intel is offering these beefed-up processors at appealing prices for gamers looking to upgrade their gaming rigs or buy a new computer altogether.

The soon-to-be-released Star Wars Outlaws will be a nice test for gamers trying out the new Intel Core 14th-generation processors, and now Ubisoft is partnering with the maker of these chips to promote the latest Star Wars video game. Star Wars Outlaws isn’t set to release until August 30, but anyone who buys the latest Intel Core productions from now until the end of July will also get their hands on a digital copy ahead of time.
