For Star Wars fans, conventions are excellent opportunities to get up close and personal with their heroes. But despite how ill-advised that idea is by philosophers of the classic and party variety, sometimes it can result in magic, like the vindication of countless shippers.

Ahsoka star Eman Esfandi recently appeared at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida, and enjoyed plenty of fan attention due to his acclaimed performance as Ezra Bridger on the show. But two attendees, in particular, had bigger plans than just a meet and greet. They strove to get Esfandi on board for a clever live meme reenactment, a series of words that would be interesting to hear even just 30 years ago. But apparently, the actor was immediately up for it, seemingly joining the ranks of stars here for fans shipping two particular Ahsoka characters.

Beyond Ezra Bridger: Where Else To See Ahsoka's Eman Esfandi

Ahsoka saw the live-action debut of several beloved characters, but Eman Esfandi's portrayal of Ezra Bridger led fans to look for him elsewhere.

Those two characters are Sabine Wren and Shin Hati, whom two married fans respectively cosplayed as during a trip to MegaCon. One of them, Twitter user @onedarkflamex, posted an image of her and her wife @ZENSlTH pulling off a pose with Esfandi that's hilarious on its own but even funnier when one knows its meme origin. Funnily enough, this isn't even the first time this couple has done something like this involving Sabine and Shin, having previously met the characters' actors Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Ivanna Sakhno for an adorable photo op wrapped in the lesbian pride flag.

The new image with Esfandi involves the couple as Sabine and Shin embracing with a kiss while the star casually sips from a beverage held out by Sabine. This directly references a Star Wars meme drawn by artist @MattyCroker1998 that depicts the same scenario and references another meme originating from a candid picture found online. This one works well since it provides more ammunition for those who ship Sabine and Shin as potential romantic partners while driving home the comfy and often goofy friendship between Sabine and Ezra.

Fans affectionately refer to the Sabine and Shin ship as "WolfWren," a reference to Shin's surname, Hati, which originates in Norse mythology as the name of a wolf who chases the moon across the night sky. But as slick of a name as it is, the real get is Esfandi being such a good sport about joining the fun. Granted, Esfandi boldly predicted his casting in Ahsoka despite not even being a Star Wars fan before joining the show, so he's not one to do anything half-cocked.

Whether or not this bump to WolfWren from Esfandi will help show Disney that fans want Sabine and Shin together, living in a world where a perfect picture can exist is wonderful. That enthusiasm makes it all the more exciting to see what will happen next with Ezra. Here's hoping it involves being a happy third wheel to a certain new couple.
