Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will usually take players a while to beat the game's main story missions, especially when players wish to delve into side content that they can find in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's various planets. Overall, the game can take a lot more than a day's worth of hours to complete, but once gamers have finally taken on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's last story boss and beat the game, the New Journey + will be unlocked.

This will allow players to play through the story again with all of Cal's perks, skills, stances, and collectives unlocked. There are even three new perks that players can use to play through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor a bit differently.

7 Using The Purity Perk

After players beat Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they will be able to access three new perks upon starting New Journey +. One of these perks is called Purity. Equipping the Purity perk will allow Cal to deal a lot more damage with any attack.

Not only will the Purity perk increase Cal's damage though, as having Purity equipped will also grant a bonus to all enemies' and allies' damage output. Purity offers a great incentive to play through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor once more, and also a great way for players to test their combat skills.

6 Using The Warrior Perk

One of the other perks that players will be granted access to is the Warrior perk. Warrior is one of the most unique items in all of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as it changes a lot of things in the game's world. With Warrior equipped with Cal, the enemies in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be replaced with much more difficult enemies.

For example, rather than players encountering a lonesome B1 Droid, they may instead run into a rampant Mogu. This can help make Star Wars Jedi: Survivor a lot more difficult than it already is. Players will want to know all the best tips for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's combat.

5 No Healing

Challenge runs are one of the most popular things to do in a Souls-like game, which is one of the best ways to describe Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. With that in hand, players can easily use challenges from the likes of Dark Souls and incorporate them into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

One such challenge would be that healing is not allowed. The healing stims that BD-1 use are very useful when saving Cal, but players looking to make the game more difficult can run through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's main story without using any healing.

4 Using Only One Stance

There are five different lightsaber stances — Single, Double-Bladed, Dual-Wield, Crossguard, and Blaster — that fans are able to use in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. What's more, is that players are able to equip themselves with two different lightsaber stances at the same time, which they can switch between at any time.

But, if players want a more specific type of bola to hold them back from beating Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, they can take on the dare to only use a single stance. For more of a challenge, players can only use a stance that they haven't played much before.

3 No Upgrades Run

Just like other Souls-like games where players can spend points to level themselves up, comes the challenge to beat the game without upgrading their characters. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, players will obtain Skill Points that they can use to invest in various abilities or passive abilities.

These enhance Cal's efficiency throughout the game, but players who want to make that game more difficult can take on the challenge of not upgrading Cal at all. To take it a step further, players can't use perks to beat Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

2 The Force Doesn't Awaken

Of course, lightsabers are the main weapon that Cal will use in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but the Force is essentially Cal's secondary weapon. The Force helps Cal pull, throw, slam, lift, confuse, and even slow enemies, which helps a lot with crowd control.

One challenge playthrough that players can do in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is to play through the game and pretend that Cal Kestis isn't a Force-sensitive being. Players who are up to the challenge will not be able to use any Force attacks or abilities, meaning that they will only be able to use their lightsaber to defeat enemies.

1 Permadeath Run

Permadeath is an important concept in the world of gaming, especially in the ones where it is almost inevitable to perish at some point, like Elden Ring. Some video game titles even have Permadeath as a game mode option, like The Last of Us Part 2.

Though Star Wars Jedi: Survivor doesn't have a permadeath mode, players can make their own permadeath rules and play through the game as if there was a true permadeath mode. Essentially, players cannot die in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor while playing on the hardest difficulty. Though Cal will be able to respawn, players will have to reset their game progress back to the beginning when playing through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with permadeath rules,

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
