Ahsoka's finale may end up impacting the entire Star Wars universe in a pretty significant way, and that includes a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel.

5 Obvious Directions For The Story of Jedi: Survivor's Sequel

Cal’s Struggle With The Dark Side

What started out as hints of anger, and flashbacks to his time in the Clone Wars, Cal’s subtle struggle with the dark side has bloomed in Jedi: Survivor. In the last act of Jedi: Survivor, Cal has unlocked new abilities which align with the dark side. With Cal going through so much and losing so many people that he cares for throughout Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, it would make perfect sense for the sequel to continue exploring his struggle with the dark side. Perhaps there could even be a possibility of a dark side ending for Cal.

Guiding Kata Akuna and Her Potential Connection To The Force

In the latter half of Jedi: Survivor, it is revealed that Cal’s friend-turned-traitor, Bode Akuna, has a daughter named Kata Akuna. With the game ending with Kata joining the Mantis crew, it seems very likely that Cal will guide Kata through her childhood, and likely train her in the ways of the Force. Since Bode Akuna was a Jedi during the Clone Wars, it would be no surprise that Kata will have inherited her father’s Force sensitivity.

Cal and Merrin’s Romance

Cal and Merrin met on Dathomir in Jedi: Fallen Order, and ever since she joined the Mantis crew, there have been hints of a potential romance between the two of them. Between Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor, Merrin had decided to leave the Mantis and explore the galaxy. After the pair are reunited in Jedi: Survivor, their romance starts to bloom, and they later share a kiss while overlooking the plains of Jedha. Jedi: Survivor's budding romance shouldn't be a fling, since it has been growing from the moment they first met on Dathomir, and it should have a part to play in Jedi: Survivor's sequel.

Tanalorr and the Hidden Path

The main objective Cal had set himself in Jedi: Survivor was to find Tanalorr and turn it into a haven for the Hidden Path. Once Cal found Tanalorr, the Hidden Path started preparing to move to the mysterious planet when things took an ugly turn, and the Empire stopped them and destroyed their base. Since the Hidden Path has appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi, which is set around the time of Jedi: Survivor, it is likely that Cal will seek out the remainder of the Hidden Path and lead them to Tanalorr. The next game could make use of a time skip, allowing the story to start after the Hidden Path has settled on Tanalorr.

A Threat to Tanalorr

With danger always looming over Cal, it would be no surprise that the antagonist of Jedi: Survivor’s sequel will want to do something nefarious to Tanalorr. Maybe the Empire discovers the hidden planet and sends out new Inquisitors to eliminate the Hidden Path and capture Cal and Kata. Perhaps Star Wars' Saw Gerrera finds out that Cal abandoned him and decides that Tanalorr should be a base for his rebels, and causes a conflict between himself and Cal. Fans who have watched the animated shows know all too well how extreme Saw Gerrera can be. The expectations are certainly high for the sequel of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and its story will have a lot to wrap up, from Cal’s struggles with the dark side to guiding Kata Akuna and much more.
