Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is more popular than Fallen Order despite the various performance issues faced by players, as it surpasses the peak concurrent player count of the original game on Steam. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor came out on PC and current-gen consoles on April 28, and it looks like users are experiencing poor performance while playing the game.

The PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is receiving a lot of criticism especially, as users flooded its Steam page with negative reviews as a result of these issues. Even gamers with a high-end PC have reported running into a variety of frame rate issues, although many have praised the game underneath these problems. Its score has recovered a bit since then, with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor currently having a mixed rating on Steam. Despite these issues, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has now managed to beat the peak concurrent player count of Fallen Order on Steam.

As revealed by SteamDB, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has a peak concurrent user count of 63,597 on Steam, beating Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which managed to reach 46,550 simultaneous gamers. It’s a notable increase over the original game, which doesn’t appear to suffer from the same problems, as it’s currently sitting at a rating of “Very Positive” on Steam. Granted, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came out in 2019, so the development time has probably released several updates by now to fix any major issues. Star Wars: Squadrons is also not too far behind, as it has a concurrent number of 36,492.

Despite beating Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor does not hold the crown of the most popular Star Wars game on Steam in terms of peak player count, as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga managed to reach 82,517 simultaneous users. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was one of the best-selling games of the first half of 2022, bested only by Elden Ring.

At the time of this writing, 43,078 fans are playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor right now on Steam as per SteamDB, and it’ll be interesting to see if it manages to reach a higher concurrent count in the coming days. Many single-player games probably reach their peak number on the first weekend after launch, but multiplayer titles like Destiny 2 can sometimes break this record with the release of a new expansion.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
