Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is better in almost every way than its predecessor, and one of the game's coolest features is its expansive areas. It’s almost a fully open-world experience across multiple planets. The combat has also been boosted; for instance, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offers players new Lightsaber stances, including dual-wielding.

The missions in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are more exciting and varied than Fallen Order as well. There are six chapters in the main story with over twenty missions in total, but which ones are the most memorable? Hopefully, Respawn Entertainment patches in a way to replay specific missions.

There will be spoilers.

7 The Heist

Cal and BD-1 in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The Heist is the first mission in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, launching chapter one. The game takes place five years after Fallen Order and leaves players in the dark about Cal’s previous adventures. Whatever he was doing led to him getting caught.

However, this imprisonment was a trap so Cal and his mercenary pals could ambush Senator Sejan. It’s a great first mission in the dazzling city/planet of Coruscant. Things kick off a lot faster than the first game, that’s for sure.

6 Fallen Jedi

Flying on a Relter in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Fallen Jedi is the third subchapter within chapter two. After rescuing a mysterious Star Wars droid, Zee, beneath Greez’s saloon, she gives Cal a key to access the Forest Array. This mission takes place on Koboh which is mostly made up of rocky terrain.

That is until players get into the Forest Array which is lush with color, waterfalls, and other surprises. There are a lot of cool gameplay moments in this section from orb puzzles to flying mounts. The end battle with Dagan, a newly awakened Jedi, is like the cherry on top.

5 The Nightsister

Merrin in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the Nightsister is the second subchapter within chapter three and sees the return of Merrin. This mission takes place on Jedha, which is mostly made of vast deserts. On his way to meet the Jedi, Cal runs into Merrin.

She is the second AI companion that will accompany Cal on his adventure, which is a new feature for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The first companion is Bode, one of the aforementioned mercenaries who tags along during The Heist. Fighting alongside Merrin is a big reason why this mission rules, but there are even better ones with her later.

4 The Hidden Path

Fighting a boss in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

The Hidden Path is chapter four's opening mission. Named after an ancient order, this quest revolves around a sacred temple high in the mountains of Jedha that Cal and Merrin must protect from the Empire. The climb up the mountain will put the player’s platforming skills to the test as it is a tricky one.

Their reward is a new Force ability which will allow Cal to dash in midair. The grand finale has Cal and Merrin team up for a fight against the biggest boss in the game, which could rival one of the Colossi from Shadow of the Colossus. The sense of inertia players will get from this boss fight is out of this world.

3 Compass Acquired

Dagan Gera in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Compass Acquired is the second mission of chapter five and is fairly close to the end of the game. It’s another climb up some mountains but this time it is on Koboh again. At the peak, there is what seems to be a flying fortress in the clouds. Players will have to shoot balloons and grapple between them on their way to this new facility.

It’s another tricky platforming section but at least checkpoints are merciful in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor if players do fall. The mission ends with Bode teaming up with Cal again to stop Dagan once and for all. Even with Bode along, it’s a tough boss fight that will test the skills of every player out there.

2 Betrayal

Bode in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Betrayal is the mission right after Compass Acquired. Upon returning to The Hidden Path on Jedha with Compass in hand, Bode double-crosses the group. He kills Master Cordova in his haste to escape as Cal runs after him.

This leads to a Speeder Bike chase through the desert. It’s the only time players can pilot one in the game, or any vehicle, which should be a real thrill for die-hard Star Wars fans. As they race through the sand, Imperial ships can be seen landing in the background. Bode truly messed things up for Cal and the resistance this time.

1 Siege

Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Siege is the grand finale of chapter five and is full of surprises. No matter how well players do against Bode in the previous boss fight, perspectives will switch to Cere during this mission. She becomes playable for the first time which is a treat for fans of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Another returning element from the first game is a boss fight with Darth Vader. This time, Cere is no longer afraid of Darth Vader and gives it her all. Even though she dies, her sacrifice is not in vain because she buys enough time for some of her allies to escape. It’s a bittersweet end for this mighty Jedi.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released on April 28, 2023, and is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
