Although the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is generating generally positive buzz from fans after the EA Play gameplay presentation, one detail stuck out that has been met with some derision. In an instance of what seems to be poor visual rendering, two Wookiees shown in the trailer have been criticized for their comparatively low-quality graphical design.

In the gameplay footage for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, protagonist Cal is tasked with rescuing some Wookiees imprisoned by the Empire. Less than one minute into the gameplay video, Kal interacts with Star Wars: Rogue One character Saw Gerrera who provides him with orders pertaining to the aforementioned task of releasing the Wookiees. However, Gerrera is accompanied by the Wookiee shown below.

The above photo doesn't provide a great assessment of the accuracy and attention to detail given to the Wookiees in the game. Unfortunately, this was not a lone instance as another part of the footage shows Cal interacting with an imprisoned Wookiee who he is tasked with freeing.

Many Reddit users have taken to criticizing Respawn's design of Wookiees in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, pointing out the lack of detail. Other Reddit users are contrasting the criticism with the fact that the gameplay shown is technically alpha gameplay, meaning that the footage gamers are seeing has yet to be finalized. As such, it is probable that the Wookiees will be touched up by the time the game's release rolls around later this year.

It's also possible that the specific footage shown was just unflattering for the appearance of the Wookiees. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is confirmed to be at the Xbox E3 2019 press conference, so any footage shown there may paint a better picture for the Wookiees ahead of the highly-anticipated game's release.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be releasing November 15 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
