It has been nearly half a century since the first Star Wars film made its debut, introducing mainstream audiences to one of the most iconic pop culture franchises of all time. Despite its long tenure, Star Wars fans are still being treated to new content across a number of mediums, including an upcoming 4v4 battle arena game.
In Star Wars: Hunters, players will take control of any of the 12+ characters in the game, each of which is assigned to one of three distinct tactical classes, and attempt to claim victory over the opposition in a number of game modes. Paying homage to the franchise that helped bring this game to life, these are the locations in Star Wars: Hunters that players will battle their adversaries in, all of which are reminiscent of the famous and important environments from Star Wars' storied history.
The Best Order to Watch Every Star Wars Movie (Star Wars Timeline)
Figuring out the best order to watch Star Wars can be a little tricky, as both the release date and chronological orders have their pros and cons.
1 Ewok Village
No Star Wars fan will ever forget the lovable Ewoks that were first introduced in the film series in Return of the Jedi, and turned the tide of the battle in the favor of the Rebel Alliance. In Star Wars: Hunters, players will be able to return to the familiar sites of Endor as they partake in a 4v4 battle with characters from either the dark or light side of the Force.
The Ewok Village is reminiscent of the village that the tribe called home in the films, with multiple wooden bridges and platforms for players to traverse as they attempt to get a tactical advantage over their opponents. Star Wars fans should also keep an eye out for the artwork displayed throughout the arena, as it tells the tale of the Ewoks and their struggles against the Empire.
2 Mos Espa Podrace
Fans of the 1999 film The Phantom Menace can rejoice at the inclusion of the Mos Espa Podrace as a playable arena in Star Wars: Hunters. While it certainly doesn't appear that players will be taking part in a race themselves, they'll be treated to the sights and sounds that throwback to the beginning of Anakin Skywalker's great, albeit tragic, story.
While players won't partake in the Boonta Eve Classic like Skywalker did, the podracers will have the potential to play a significant role in the outcome of every battle in this venue. Players will need to be mindful of the pods that come speeding through the battlefield, as they will be able to use them to a tactical advantage, or they may be used against them to get a potential game-changing knockout.
3 Dune Sea Outpost
The Dune Sea Outpost is an arena set in the famous desert planet of Tatooine, which was home to iconic characters Anakin and Luke Skywalker, as well as Obi-Wan Kenobi, at different stages throughout their lives. It was where Luke was raised by his uncle and aunt before their untimely death, making it one of the most important locations in the Star Wars universe.
In the context of Star Wars: Hunters, players will take part in battles in this abandoned outpost, which is described as a terrific location for smugglers to hide their goods from thieves and authority figures alike. This map will be relatively interactive and pay homage to the planet, with an occasional droid or sandcrawler popping its head out in the background.
4 Death Star Crossfire
The Death Star, a moon-sized space station and planet killer, was the pride of the Empire before it was destroyed by the Rebel Alliance. In Star Wars: Hunters, players will navigate a very vertical battlefield to try and get a tactical advantage over the opposing team.
The Death Star Crossfire map is unique in that it has so many floors, meaning players using a long-range character like Diago may have a distinct advantage over melee-based ones like Grozz. The map will feature a space dogfight overhead that will have players immersed in the battle for the galaxy, as well as numerous destroy spacecraft and rooms designed with the polished interior that the Empire was famous for.
5 Vandor Railyard
The planet Vandor-1 was significant in the origin story of Han Solo and Chewbacca, making an appearance in the movie Solo: A Star Wars Story. It is on this planet that Solo and Chewbacca, accompanied by Val and Tobias Beckett, attempt a heist on a cargo wagon of coaxium, which has seemingly inspired this arena in Star Wars: Hunters.
The Vandor Railyard is a highly interactive map in Star Wars: Hunters, so much so that players will be able to use the moving train that passes through the arena as a mode of transport to quickly close the gap on enemies or make a timely escape. On top of that, players will need to navigate the frosty terrain, which includes some steep cliffs that will be lethal for those unfortunate enough to go over the edge.
