Star Citizen features a range of missions, from bounty hunting to simple delivery missions. This also includes the amazing cave-clearing missions currently found on Daymar, a moon surrounding the larger planet of Crusader. Although this may not be the most effective way of generating aUEC in Star Citizen, it's a great mission to take on alone or with some friends. This guide will help players with every step of the mission from initiation to full completion as well as some helpful tips to help the player generate the maximum amount of profit from each trip.

This was added early in Star Citizen's development and is a relatively easy mission (as long as the player's first-person shooter skills are up to par) so feel free to jump into this one as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are a few things players will need before jumping straight into combat.

How to Initiate Mission

Star Citizen Grim Hex

Players will need to be in the Crusader area to receive this mission, for those who spawn at the microTech, Hurston, or ArcCorp locations this will require them to quantum travel to the area to even unlock this mission. The player must be level 2 in the bounty hunter category which can easily be obtained by completing the freelancer assessment mission. Although there isn't a single location that is best for this, there is one place that the community has found most reliable.

Grim Hex is an Outlaw Station and Trading Hub found within the Yela asteroid belt. Most players trying to engage in this mission have found that Grim Hex is the most convenient place to land to spawn the mission in the contract manager. One of the main factors that make this such a convenient stop-off is its location. As Grim Hex sits outside an atmosphere it's incredibly easy to take off and land quickly without the need to escape a gravitational pull.

There is a separate cave mission found on Hurston. This can drop into the contracts manager when in Lorville - hang around in the city if this is the preferred mission. This mission has a slightly different objective as the player has to locate a missing client.

Preparation

Star Citizen Aegis Avenger Titan

For this mission, the player will need a ship. This is only for traversal (rather than combat) as the main fighting area will take place within the cave itself. This means the player doesn't need a dedicated fighter ship to partake in this awesome experience. That said, the player will need a decent weapon such as the C54 SMG, and a good amount of ammo to eliminate a large number of enemies. Some medium / heavy armor will also prevent the player from dying as fast and allow them to use a medical stim to get back in the fight without respawning.

Bringing a large backpack can also come in handy here as there is a range of loot that can help the player gain increased profit from this single trip. The only ship that may be slightly overkill here is a cargo ship which may slow down the travel time.

Travel To Location

Star Citizen Daymar

As mentioned before, the player will need a ship. It doesn't really matter which ship the player chooses here as it will only be used for traveling to the location and not in combat. Once the mission is accepted, a target will be visible in the player's HUD - an easy way to get to this point begins with the Starlink map (press F2 to open). From here find the objective and press "Set Route" found at the top of the screen. This will only highly the path the player needs to take to reach the desired location.

Keep an eye out for the cave opening and park close by for an easy exit once the mission is completed. If it's a difficult location to park, bringing a ground vehicle such as the HoverQuad can be a great way to get to the cave entrance with ease.

Eliminate Enemies

Star Citizen Daymar Cave

Once in the cave, the player must eliminate upwards of 15 enemies. There will be a counter at the top of the screen that monitors the player's progress meaning they don't have to actively track how many enemies they have killed.

This is where an abundance of ammo will come in handy as this amount of enemies will take a few magazines. Alternatively, after killing each enemy the player can pick up their weapon if ammo becomes a problem. Once all the enemies are eliminated the player's mission is complete.

Finally, the player will want to leave the location. Head back towards the cave entrance and jump back in the ship. From here, the player can continue with other missions, or head back to Grim Hex to increase their odds of this mission dropping again.

Maximize Profits - Dolovine and Hadanite

Star Citizen Hadanite

Although this mission does give the player 25,000 aUEC, there are a few things the player can do to increase the profits made from each trip.

Bringing a large backpack and armor will increase the player's storage allowing them to loot items to sell and add to their arsenal. The specific item the player needs to look for is Dolivine and Hadanite which can be found on the bodies of the enemies they just killed. Hold the interaction key (F) and click loot to open the enemy's inventory. The items will likely be found inside the armor and legs rather than the backpack.

Once the player has the items, head back to Grim Hex to sell them for a decent profit. Each trip can generate around 250,000 aUEC.
