Star Citizen features a range of ship manufacturers. Whether it's the high-quality, luxury-comfort of Origin, or the less conventional design of Drake, Star Citizen has something for every player.

RSI, also known as Roberts Space Industries, lies somewhere in the middle ground of all manufacturers. As the creators of the quantum drive, RSI is one of the oldest ship manufacturers within the verse. Because of this, they have been given plenty of time to develop a range of ships for multiple functions and activities. Whether it's combat, exploration, or cargo hauling, there's something here for everyone.

The first ship this company developed was the RSI Zeus. This ship took humans across the star systems and across the galaxy. This allowed the United Empire of Earth to develop into the galactic system we know today. Roberts Space Industries also sell a range of armor, ship components, and other technologies making them an extremely versatile company which is reflected in their roster of ships.

RSI Scorpius

The RSI Scorpius has quickly become a part of the meta with its fairly recent release. As a heavy fighter, there is little the Scorpius is lacking. The shape of the wing heavily resembles the “X-Wing” fighter from Star Wars attracting a lot of attention from fans of the iconic franchise.

The 4 size 3 turrets available to the pilot allow the craft to take on enemies far larger than itself. With a secondary player in the turret, there are only a few ships in game that can compete with the potential damage output of the Scorpius. The pilot can also deploy 16 size 2 missiles allowing for slightly longer engagement ranges. When in space combat, the wings can be deployed or retracted to change the profile of the ship.

There is also plenty of internal storage for both the pilot and the turret operator to carry their personal equipment. However, the ship doesn’t have any internal space meaning physicalized items that don’t fit within the storage cannot be stowed.

RSI Aurora

Star Citizen RSI Aurora

Although the Aurora doesn’t have any unique features. The overall accessibility, price and utility make it a great option for new players looking for their first ship. The Aurora comes as part of the cheapest starter pack at $45 USD. Alternatively, the ship can be purchased in game for just 184,000 aUEC.

The speed and maneuverability of the ship make it easy to complete delivery missions and begin building reputation as a courier to eventually unlock more rewarding missions. For those looking for a slightly more specialized ship, RSI has plenty more to offer.

RSI Mantis

Star Citizen RSI Mantis

The Mantis is only 1 of 3 ships in Star Citizen that have the capability of “Quantum Interdiction”. Essentially, the onboard quantum enforcement system will pull ships out of quantum travel and stop them from evading.

The Mantis is most effective when working in tandem with other larger ships or fighters. Once a ship has been pulled out of quantum, they may be hostile in the form of a pirate or bounty target. Unfortunately, the Mantis only features 2 size 3 cannons and 4 missiles, which isn’t enough firepower to deter a large enemy presence.

The only other ships capable of Quantum Interdiction are the Drake Cutlass Blue a new variant of the Scorpius, the RSI Scorpius Antares. The Mantis can function effectively with one player aboard, making it stand out from the other options available.

RSI Constellation Andromeda

Star Citizen RSI Constellation Andromeda

The Constellation series of ships comes with some awesome features that other ships in the game don’t have. The first being the P-52 Merlin Snub Fighter. This additional ship comes free with any model of the Constellation. This small fighter is great for fending off enemies and criminals who may be trying to grief or steal some precious cargo. The main aspect of the Andromeda variant is its versatility to take on any challenge the verse throws at it.

With 96 SCU of cargo the Andromeda can easily partake in the cargo gameplay loop and trade commodities across the Stanton system to make a profit. Additionally, there are 96,000 uSCU of internal cargo, allowing for additional items to be stored, transported and sold. The firepower and shields of the Andromeda also make it a great option for bounty hunting and undertaking mercenary missions.

RSI Constellation Phoenix

Star Citizen RSI Constellation Phoenix

Last but not least, the RSI Constellation Phoenix variant brings a more luxury feel to Star Citizen with bonus relaxation and entertainment modules. The main cabin has been replaced with a full bar, hot tub and dining area. External windows also allow passengers to view the environment whilst on the go.

The Phoenix comes standard with 4 size 4 cannons for the pilot and 2 size 6 turrets, still giving it awesome offensive and defensive capabilities. With the addition of the Snub fighter, the Phoenix is still an obsolete powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with.

On top of this, the luxury Lynx Rover comes as an addition with the purchase of the ship. This allows the Phoenix to participate in a range of activities in the verse. However, RSI definitely has other ships that offer a more specialized experience.

Star Citizen is available on PC.
