The gaming industry is still buzzing from Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase and its numerous reveals. One of the biggest surprises was the reveal of STALKER 2 coming to the Xbox Series X and Game Pass. It turns out that despite the heavy hitters of Microsoft's library being present at the show, it is STALKER 2 that is getting all the attention.

Just a day after the Xbox Games Showcase, many fans are taking the chance to watch the plethora of trailers that were revealed at the event. Based on the current viewership numbers on the official Xbox YouTube account, the STALKER 2 Debut Trailer seems to be most popular video to come out of the entire show.

As of writing, the STALKER 2 Debut trailer is just shy of a million views with over 990,000. When compared to Halo Infinite and Fable, arguably the two biggest games at the show, it has a significant lead. The gameplay debut of Halo Infinite, the franchise's first step into the next generation of hardware, has over 785,000 views. What might have soured some on the reveal was the information that the gameplay shown was not the current build of Halo Infinite.

The next big game that STALKER 2 surprisingly beat out in terms of YouTube interest was the announcement trailer for the new Fable. The 1-minute trailer didn't show much outside of the digestion of a fairy and a logo, but is still the return of a beloved Xbox franchise. That trailer, via the official Xbox YouTube page, currently sits at 660,000 views with most conversations focusing on what the game actually is.

With all these numbers, the STALKER 2 Debut Trailer stands far above the marquee franchise for the Xbox brand. The STALKER series has maintained cult status and STALKER 2, the fourth game in the franchise, has gone in and out of development for many years. STALKER 2 has had numerous announcements dating back to nearly a decade since the initial one. The third announcement of STALKER 2 was in March of 2019 through the revival of the game's Twitter account.

While the trailers give insight into what games are sparking the most interest, over the last 24 hours there has been a slew of new information about the three most prominent games of the show. Earlier today STALKER 2 developer GSC Game World answered fan questions surrounding the highly anticipated title. It provides insight into what the fans who have waited so long can look forward to.

STALKER 2 is in development for PC and Xbox Series X.
