Some anime are extremely wholesome and will put a smile on any viewer's face. Here are some examples.

While heartwarming cuteness and wholesomeness is one of Spy x Family's biggest appeals, it's not always at the forefront of every episode. Some episodes tend to focus more on action, while others focus more on silly, hilarious shenanigans. Here are some of the most wholesome episodes in Spy x Family.

1 "The Target's Second Son"

Season 1, Episode 7

Spy x Family Damian Blush

The majority of the episode involves Anya trying to apologize to Damian Desmond for hitting him. It's a fairly fun situation with a disguised Loid continuously pressuring Anya into apologizing, and her eventual apology is heartfelt enough to even make Damian's heart flutter.

The episode ends with Loid trying to get Anya to do better in her studies. When Anya rejects it and runs off, Loid and Yor have a heartfelt conversation about how difficult it is to be a parent. It's a good episode that shows Loid struggling to be a good father to Anya.

2 "Uncle The Private Tutor/Daybreak"

Season 1, Episode 18

Spy x Family Yuri and Anya

This two-parter involves one area Anya does poorly in; her studies. In the first part, Anya realizes she can't use her mind-reading powers during her midterms, forcing her to ask Yuri to help her study. Though he is reluctant, the two end up establishing a sort of rapport as Yuri encourages Anya to study.

The second part involves Loid breaking into Eden College to make sure Anya passes her midterms. After taking time to deal with another spy, Loid discovers that Anya passed her tests. It's heartwarming to know that her hard work actually paid off and that she can do well in class without having to cheat.

3 "Will They Pass Or Fail?"

Season 1, Episode 5

Spy x Family Forger family celebrates

Though they failed the interview with Eden College, the Forgers are told that Anya will be put on a waitlist in case another student decides to drop out. Though they are momentarily worried about Anya failing, she eventually gets the news that she has been accepted into the school.

The rest of the episode sees the family celebrate by renting out a castle for Anya and Loid's fellow WISE agents to put on a show for her. It's very silly and lots of fun, and seeing Loid go along with Anya's whims is adorable.

4 "Bond's Strategy To Stay Alive/Damian's Field Research Trip"

Season 2, Episode 2

Spy x Family S2 E2 Damian and Friends rowing

A two-parter with the first episode involving Bond trying to get Loid back home before he has to eat Yor's dinner. It's a fluffy, light-hearted episode that shows a glimpse into Bond's life as a member of the Forger family.

The Cat Returns: Ghibli's Wholesome Underrated Gem

While it might not rank among the top films of the studio, The Cat Returns is a simple delight befitting Ghibli's glowing reputation.

The next part, however, follows Damian and his friends as they go on a "research trip" that is meant as an excuse for Damian to rest from his non-stop studying. It's a heartwarming episode that shows a different side of Damian and his cronies, which makes them more sympathetic.

5 "The Role Of A Mother And Wife/Shopping With Friends"

Season 1, Episode 24

Anya and Becky

Another two-parter, with the first involving Yor becoming anxious about her role in the Forger family. Wanting to rectify the situation, Loid decides to take Yor out on a date. It's a rare chance for the two to act as a couple, and while it never gets too romantic, it's nice to know the two care about each other.

The second part involves Anya's friendship with Becky, pretty much the only real friend she has at Eden College. The two come from very different backgrounds, but it's nice to know that Becky both appreciates their friendship and truly likes Anya as a person.

6 "Prepare For The Interview"

Season 1, Episode 3

Loid and his family

The third episode of Spy x Family is the first episode that has all three members of the family interacting with each other for the first time. The episode sees the family go out into the city to better understand the life of the upper class so that they can pass the interview at Eden College.

This episode is the first time fans get to see Yor and Anya interact with each other, and it isn't long before they start acting like any other mother and daughter. While Loid may insist that the family is just for the mission, it's pretty clear there's more to it than that.

7 "A New Family Member"

Season 1, Episode 15

Bond and Anya from Spy x Family

This episode concludes the Doggy Crisis arc and introduces Bond to the Forger family. After a quick action-packed conclusion and the defeat of the terrorist bomber, Loid adopts the yet-unnamed Bond into the family as Anya's dog.

Rivalries can be good, wholesome, and even healthy, as proven by these surprisingly positive anime rivalries.

The second half of the episode involves Anya trying to figure out a new name for her dog. It takes some time, and a lot of it is spent with Anya playing in the park with her new friend. In the end, she names him after her favorite cartoon character, Bondman, and the Forger family is now complete.

8 "Operation Strix"

Season 1, Episode 1

Loid Forger carrying Anya

The pilot episode of Spy x Family is easily one of the more wholesome episodes in the series, following Loid as he meets Anya for the first time and has to get used to being a father to her. The episode features a lot of goofy hijinks as Loid encounters Anya's strange quirks for the first time.

However, at the same time, it's somewhat heartwarming to see Anya and Loid warm up to each other. The scene at the end of the episode where Anya chooses to stay with Loid instead of going back to the orphanage is one of the most wholesome moments in the series, and this is only the first episode.

9 "Stella"

Season 1, Episode 11

Spy x Family Anya Stella

This episode starts with Anya and Loid visiting a hospital to volunteer for community service in an attempt to earn a Stella. Though Anya ends up failing to complete any of her tasks, her heroic rescue of a drowning boy earns her a Stella anyway.

The episode is Anya's most heroic moment in the series, and her recognition by the school is a welcome change from the usual derision. Even Damian takes the chance to defend Anya when some other students attempt to devalue her accomplishments.

10 "Enjoy The Resort To The Fullest/Bragging About Vacation"

Season 2, Episode 10

Spy x Family S2 E10 Family Time

The newest episode of Spy x Family is not only a great conclusion to one of the most action-packed arcs in the series but also an incredibly wholesome episode that just shows the Forger family having a good time while on vacation.

While many of the activities they experience are mostly shown through montage, it's still a lot of fun to watch the family have fun, especially when it's so rare to see all three of them do things together like this. It's a very soothing end to a tense and action-packed arc.
