The "Which instrument would you play?" Splatfest has concluded in Splatoon 3, with Team Keyboard crowned as the winner. From March 22 to March 24, Splatoon 3 players were battling each other on behalf of Shiver, Frye, and Big Man to determine which of three instruments is the best.

Splatoon 3 Splatfests are hotly contested between three teams as they battle and represent their choice, which corresponds with a member of the idol group Deep Cut. Splatfests happen on a near-monthly basis with Super Sea Snails being the prize for all participants. However, the winning team claims bragging rights and a greater number of Super Sea Snails compared to the losing teams. As a result, Splatfests bring out the competitive nature of the Splatoon 3 community with debates on social media and intense multiplayer matches in the game.

Splatoon 3 Releases Update 7.1.0

Nintendo releases Update 7.1.0 for Splatoon 3, which makes changes to Splatfest and Salmon Run, while also fixing numerous bugs.

Team Keyboard was victorious in the "Which instrument would you play?" Splatfest, and all players can now claim their Super Sea Snails, which can be used to upgrade gear and get the best abilities possible in Splatoon 3. Big Man's team earned the victory by a wide margin, at 500 points. Frye's Team Guitar and Shiver's Team Drum placed in second and third with 190 points and 180 points respectively. Despite their losses, Team Guitar gained the most votes at 35.33% and Team Drum gathered the most Conch Shells at 33.93%. Team Keyboard won in the Open (35.19%), Pro (37.87%), and Tricolor (34.75%) categories to gather the most points in the latest Splatfest event.

Team Keyboard Wins the Splatoon 3 March 2024 Splatfest

  • First place: Big Man's Team Keyboard at 500 points
  • Second place: Frye's Team Guitar at 190 points
  • Third place: Shiver's Team Drum at 180 points

Winning the most Tricolor Battles in the Splatfest grants 180 points, meaning that Team Keyboard performed better in battle compared to Team Guitar and Team Drum in the second half. In addition, Team Keyboard won in the Open and Pro categories during the second half of Splatoon 3's March 2024 Splatfest, giving them an additional 240 points by the very end. Team Keyboard earned 80 points for placing second in total Conch Shells and Votes at 33.77% and 33.53% respectively.

Splatoon 3 Fresh Season just began this month, so players have many more updates and Splatfest events to look forward to in the weeks and months ahead. Nintendo did not reveal the theme for the next Splatfest, but it will likely be announced in the near future. Before then, Splatoon 3 players may participate in Monthly Challenges on March 29 and March 30 to earn more rewards. March 2024's Monthly Challenge event will see players test their skills in Rainmaker matches.
