Nintendo has recently confirmed that the Splatoon 3’s Sizzle Season 2024 update will be released on June 1. The eagerly awaited Splatoon 3 update will bring new weapons, a new area, and a new mode to the popular third-person shooter.

Splatoon 3 was originally released in 2022, and it has received continuous updates since then. While most of the updates have been free, there have also been premium content released for the game, including Splatoon 3’s Side Order DLC. With this paid DLC, Splatoon 3 players gained access to an exclusive single-player campaign.

Sizzle Season 2024 will be the latest iteration of Splatoon 3’s annual event, starting on June 1. This new season will bring a new Turf War stage called Lemuria Hub, which stands out due to having some platforms that move during matches. The season will also add two new weapons, the Wellstring V, which seems to be a long-range Stringer, and the Splatana-type Mint Decavitator. Another change is the implementation of a new Big Run mode variation called “BIG Big Run.” In this mode, gamers will fight a trio of new bosses that look like aquatic monsters called the “Triumvirate” in fast-paced battles.

New Content Available In Splatoon 3's Sizzle Season 2024

  • New Stage: Lemuria Hub.
  • New Weapon: Wellstring V.
  • New Weapon: Mint Decavitator.
  • New Game Mode: BIG Big Run, featuring the Attack of the Triumvirate.

The announcement of this major content update comes on the heels of the latest Splatoon 3 update, released last month. Splatoon 3’s Update 7.2.0 was a minor upgrade that focused on weapon adjustments, fixing some minor bugs and issues, and altering the layout of the Undertow Spillway map in all modes.

While Splatoon 3 players may have to wait around two weeks for Sizzle Season 2024, it’s almost time for the game’s next Splatfest, which will begin on May 17. Splatfest events are weekend-long festivals that pit players against each other in different teams based on their answers to a question that changes at each event. The question for Splatoon 3’s May Splatfest is “What would you do at the world’s end?” and players can pick answers such as Same Ol’, Bucket List, and Save the Day. The event will last up to May 19, 5 pm PT.

These constant content additions and events help Splatoon 3 to continue to rank among the best first-party Nintendo Switch games, especially for gamers who want to play a wacky third-person shooter with friends. So, fans should mark June 1 on their calendars and keep wired to learn more about the next Splatoon 3 updates after Sizzle Season 2024.
