Following the release of Splatoon 3, one fan has revealed how the lockers featured in the game could be better using Amiibo. While the game has only been out for a couple of days, numerous players have been checking out all the third installment in the Splatoon series has to offer. Among the new features included in Splatoon 3 is the Locker Room.

The Locker Room is a customizable area in Splatoon 3 that allows players to show off their unique tastes in-game. This new feature can be found in the Battle Lobby, and players can add a number of decorations to style a locker to their liking. In addition, players can even see the lockers of players they recently played with in online matches. Recently, one gamer believed they had come up with a way of making this feature even better.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as CreeperODeath shared their idea of how to make lockers better, and it involved using the Amiibo that are supported for Splatoon 3. According to the Reddit user, they believed that players should be able to include their Amiibo figures in lockers in the game. Beyond revealing their idea, CreeperODeath shared a picture of a locker in the game that they had edited to include an Amiibo figure of Marie in the bottom left corner, illustrating what the concept could look like.

In addition to posting this new locker concept to Reddit, CreeperODeath wanted to know what other gamers thought of the idea. Unsurprisingly, a number of users weighed in with their opinions after the post was shared. In fact, it has already garnered several hundred upvotes on the platform. Among the comments, many responded favorably to the idea and wanted it added in Splatoon 3 by way of a future update. In addition, one player suggested making the Amiibo smaller in the locker so that more figures could be included.

It is worth noting that Splatoon 3 supports Amiibo functionality but not in this particular way. Players can activate their Amiibo in Splatsville in Splatoon 3 at an empty Amiibo box near the city center, unlocking several in-game items depending on the Amiibo scanned. In addition, they can be used to save styles onto them, letting players organize different clothing they have purchased and want to wear later.

While these are nice additions to the gameplay experience for players that have Amiibo, allowing players to spruce up their lockers with these figures could be an even better touch. Time will tell if this added use for Amiibo in Splatoon 3 eventually gets included in the game.

Splatoon 3 is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
