Out of all the weapons available in Splatoon 3, Blasters are one of the hardest to master, but most satisfying to use. Once players get the hang of it, Blasters can be a great weapon to use, no matter the kit or build. There are many kinds of Blasters, all of which have unique kits and qualities that players can evaluate to see which fits their unique play style. While some players may just want to use the clothes that look good on their Inkling or Octoling, strategizing clothing according to what abilities each piece holds can help during competitive play. While they aren't the best at Turf War, a good shot with a Blaster can turn the tide of any battle.

Blasters are hard-hitting, low-frequency weapons that take precision and patience to use. While they're not as precise as sniping weapons or as consistent as shooters, Blasters hold a special niche in the Splatoon weapon set that helps hold objectives, take out opponents in a single hit, and maintain front lines with relative ease. Once a player learns to master a Blaster, they can work with patience and accuracy to hold the field as a backliner, frontliner, or anything in between. Blasters are diverse, each of the five having a different playstyle than the next. Below, players can go over each and what clothing strategies for a build works best.

Luna Blaster

The Luna Blaster is a slightly less powerful version of the standard Blaster. However, it makes up for this slight absence of power with a faster fire rate, which can be used to take down enemies quickly. Splatting in just two short shots, the Luna Blaster is a powerful weapon to hold, especially for objective focused battles, like in Anarchy Battles.

The Luna Blaster comes with one of the best bombs in the game, the Splat Bomb, which can help make up for the blaster's shorter range. It also features the Special Zipcaster, which allows players to breach enemy lines and take out the competition with a few quick bursts.

Range Blaster

The Range Blaster is the longest-reaching of the Blaster crew, able to hurt opponents from far away thanks to its wide hitbox margin. The Range Blaster can take out opponents in one hit, making it an ideal weapon for those with good aim and a great amount of patience. That being said, it is one of the slowest-firing weapons in the game. If players want to try using the Range Blaster for the first time, take caution and take patience, because while the Range Blaster can get splats, there is definitely a learning curve.

The Range Blaster has one of the strongest bombs in the game, the Suction Bomb, which can be used to cover areas of interest, such as the Tower or a Splat Zone. It also comes with a unique special, the Wave Breaker, which is great for getting opponents to back off. The Wave Breaker can distract opponents, forcing them to shoot at the Wave Breaker before getting to the wielder.

Clash Blaster

The Clash Blaster is a rapid-firing Blaster, one of the most repetitive and speedy weapons in Splatoon 3. With a short range and little power, this Blaster is designed for players who like to get up close with their enemy while distracting them with Splat Bombs and the powerful Inkzooka.

While the Clash Blaster may be fast, don't expect to splat foes in a single hit, because it requires at least for direct ones for a splat. The Clash Blaster has one of the most versatile sub-weapons in the game: the Splat Bomb. The Splat Bomb helps make up for the Clash's weak range. It also has the Trizooka, a powerful special that fires a cannon of ink at foes three times.

Blaster

blaster

The standard Blaster is the best kind of weapon to start with if a player is new to the entire concept of Blasters. It has decent range, firing rate, and damage all around. However, if a player is looking for easy splats, they may want to look elsewhere, because the Blaster is only a good weapon if one has the patience to work with its unique firing rate and range.

It takes about two hits to splat with a regular Blaster. It comes with the sub-weapon Autobomb, which can be useful in a variety of situations, including distracting foes. For its special weapon, it has the Big Bubbler, a forcefield that provides temporary cover for everyone inside it.

Rapid Blaster

The Rapid Blaster is just like it sounds: a Blaster with a little more speed. While it's no Clash Blaster, the Rapid Blaster has more range and firing rate power than the Clash Blaster by far. It takes a generous three hits to splat someone with the Rapid Blaster.

However, its unique firing rate and range make the Range Blaster just the type of weapon to dominate the middle ground. The Range Blaster comes equipped with the Ink Mine, which allows players to control the battlefield from afar. It also has the Triple Inkstrike, which players can use to take back zones through bombs from above.
