The same sentiment is true for Spider-Man: No Way Home. He isn't the only character in the movie with funny dialogue. Dr. Strange is one great example. Some of the best lines in this new Marvel movie aren't even funny. Some are just heartfelt. Let's go through some of the best lines in Spider-Man: No Way Home with full spoilers on.

Updated on July 5, 2022 by Ritwik Mitra: Spider-Man: No Way Home was a celebration of Spider-Man's rich cinematic history. Watching all three Spider-Men interact with each other on the big screen was something truly magical, and the MCU will find it hard-pressed to top themselves after this amazing title. The movie is full of amazing lines that fans will remember long after this magical experience is over and done with. Keeping this in mind, here are some of the best quotes from Spider-Man: No Way Home that had a major impact in many ways.

10 "If You Expect Disappointment, Then You Can Never Really Get Disappointed"

MJ talking to Peter on FaceTime in No Way Home

A running quote throughout the series is something that is pertinent to the struggles of the three main leads to join college. MJ tries her hardest to keep her expectations in check, uttering this line time and time again to push away any feelings of disappointment and resentment that might arise after being rejected from colleges time and time again.

After Peter makes everyone forget about Spider-Man and himself, there's a powerful moment near the end of the movie where Peter goes back to the coffee shop where MJ is working. While she doesn't remember Peter at all due to Dr. Strange's actions, he does utter this line to complete MJ's train of thought, causing her to second-guess her own memories for a split second. It's a great example of strong writing, something that No Way Home absolutely excels in.

9 "With Great Power, There Must Also Come Great Responsibility"

Spider-Man No Way Home Marisa Tomei Aunt May Zendaya

The most iconic line from any Spider-Man piece of media is finally uttered in Spider-Man: No Way Home, serving as a major turning point for Peter and his motivations to be Spider-Man. It's a shame that this line came after Aunt May passed away, but the sacrifice of Peter's family was always important to establish his role as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

It's one of the most powerful lines in the series and sets the stage for the final confrontation against the villains of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Watching the three Peters fight their own personal demons and fight back against these massive threats is an absolute treat and one of the biggest highlights of the entire experience.

8 “I’m A Really Good Lawyer”

Matt Murdock from Daredevil

Matt Murdock appearing in this movie might have been the best-kept secret. There were mumbling about the actor, Charlie Cox, returning to the MCU at some point. Who knew it would be this soon? When Matt catches the bricks and says that line, it was magical.

Let's not forget Daredevil was the first MCU show starring a real character and it kickstarted the movement. It’s too bad that he didn’t get more scenes in No Way Home. For fans, it was enough to get him back into the MCU. Now, if only the other Netflix characters could get back in.

7 “Hello Peter”

Doc-Ock-No-Way-Home

Imagine a universe where the trailers didn’t give away that this was going to be a multiverse movie. Then imagine the moment when the first crossover character appears via Doc Ock. When he says “Hello Peter” it was like all bets were off.

This movie has changed the MCU forever. Now that the multiverse has been opened, other Marvel movies could get in. So, “Hello Peter” really translates to the gates are now open Marvel fans. It would be nice to see Marvel adopt a more sense of secrecy with future trailers starring Peter Parker, or anyone else.

6 “Lots Of Birthday Parties”

Dr. Strange from Spider-Man: No Way Home

The previous two Spider-Man movie universes had technology way beyond anyone’s understanding not to mention lizard, sand, and goo people. Is it that hard to imagine magic being real?

It’s funny how no one believes Dr. Strange can use magic until he shows them how quickly he can conjure spells. Doc Ock asks how Dr. Strange can do this to which he replies “Lot of birthday parties.” Magic is only for cheap parlor tricks in the other movie universes.

5 “Don’t”

Dr. Strange from Spider-Man: No Way Home

This is a small, but powerful line in the movie. It’s when Dr. Strange is about to send the villains back to their universes with his magic box. Peter decides he wants to save them all so he slings a web and takes it away.

The look Dr. Strange gives Peter is better than the line by itself. It’s one of those faces and phrases that should become one of many memes from No Way Home. Plus the fight scene afterward is one of the best in the film. There is nothing like a good mirror dimension fight in the MCU.

4 “Are These Your Legos?

Electro from Spider-Man: No Way Home

Building LEGO models past a certain age holds a certain stigma in reality. It shouldn’t but it does. This is a line Electro says in Happy’s apartment to Peter. It’s to point out how nervous he is trusting a teenager who plays with LEGO bricks.

Can someone this childish fix all of us? That might be a thought going through Electro’s head. It’s a funny line and a good callback to Homecoming when Ned and Peter are building that same kit. It would be very meta if Peter were building with Spider-Man LEGO bricks instead.

3 “Are You Gonna Go Into Battle Dressed As A Cool Youth Pastor?”

Spider-Maguire from Spider-Man

This is a line said by Andrew Garfield to Toby Maguire before they are about to begin the final conflict. Maguire does indeed look like a “cool” youth pastor. He is prepared though with his suit at the ready underneath his clothes.

There are so many great moments and lines slung by Garfield and Maguire as soon as they walk into the movie. It’s hard not to fill this entire list with just their lines alone.

2 “Cure That Ass”

MJ, Peter, and Ned from Spider-Man: No Way Home

Peter’s goal from the very beginning was to help these villains. He had some doubts but eventually, he is convinced by his fellow web-slingers that curing them is the best option. Before going into battle their mantra went from “let’s go kick some ass” to “let’s go cure some ass.”

This was diluted into Ned’s final words in this scene which was, “Cure that ass.” It’s another great line that is funnier because of the look on the character’s face. It’s another great moment ready for meme town.

1 “I Love You Guys”

Spider-Holland from Spider-Man: No Way Home

This was Tom Holland saying this to his two fellow Spider-Man heroes. No Way Home was already one big fan letter but getting them all to hug was like icing on the cake. It was more like Holland thanking Maguire and Garfield as actors. They paved the way for him to get into the MCU.

Without their two franchises, Holland may never have got to be Spider-Man. Maybe no one would have been Spider-Man if Maguire didn’t do it first. That’s why this line hits home especially hard. Expect to see this moment appear online in the form of fan art. It would be a great addition to any spidey fan's wall.
