Sony Pictures has unveiled a brand-new official poster for the highly-anticipated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The upcoming film's new poster pushes some familiar faces to the forefront while highlighting a vast new collection of web-slinging heroes entering the animated Spider-Man universe.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse follows the record-breaking animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which earned over $375 million worldwide. The original film introduced audiences to Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, as he navigated the trails of adolescence while learning to become the Spider-Man in his universe. Morales will reunite again with Gwen Stacy, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, as they combat differences to face a threat with unimaginable power. One notable standout figure was Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Oscar Isaac, who stands to the left of Morales in the film's poster. Many assumed Spider-Man 2099 would be the film's antagonist, but screenwriter Christopher Miller refuted those claims. Instead, Miller made it clear that Spider-Man 2099 is not a villain but a competing force to challenge Morales because they both believe their actions are the right path.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will feature an incredibly talented cast, including Brian Tyree Henry, Issa Rae, Luna Lauren Velez, Jason Schwartzman, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Jorma Taccone, and Rachel Dratch.
