One Marvel's Spider-Man 2 fan has discovered a trick that allows players to change up the weather and time of day in the game. As the PS5's big fall release, the exclusive has been a huge success as Spider-Man 2 has smashed sales records. In the time since the title's launch, players have been unearthing secrets and Easter eggs in the game and sharing these various discoveries online.

Many of the best Spider-Man 2 Easter eggs reference other Marvel characters and landmarks, but fans have also found various exploits and in-game tricks that affect gameplay. Whether it be hidden wind tunnels or a secret room that might just be teasing Daredevil and the Hand, it seems as though gamers are finding something new in Spider-Man 2 just about every day. Now, it appears as though a newly discovered exploit is allowing players to change the game's overall aesthetic.

TikTok content creator lovestationlive is sharing a trick that allows players to change the weather and time of day in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The exploit involves completing a short sequence of events at certain Mysteriums, which are unlocked via a side quest partway through the campaign. Basically, by going into the Mysterium as Miles, immediately replaying the quest as it loads, and abandoning the mission before the countdown completes, something within the game is triggered that changes the weather or time of day depending on the location.

While the video only refers to the weather, lovestationlive points out that the same sequence of events changes the time of day and weather at various Mysteriums. Simply put, using the exploit at the Mysterium in Midtown (as shown in the video) changes the time to night while completing the sequence at the Mysterium near the bridge on the Upper East Side will cause it to rain in New York City. It should be noted that this trick works at all Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Mysterium locations, not just the two previously mentioned. Essentially, the weather effect and time of day will differ depending on the Mysterium, so trying this trick at each one is required to see all the different weather and time-of-day options.

This trick gives players access to more aesthetic options within the game, but future updates promise to add to the title's replayability. Insomniac has already promised a Spider-Man 2 New Game+ update at some point in the future. And while DLC has yet to be confirmed, many fans are hoping recent Easter eggs and comments from Insomniac's creative director are pointing toward Daredevil content or even a new game.
